How are the crowds on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day?? We are thinking about going so, I thought I would do a little research.

Never been there on Christmas but heard if you are not in the park very early you won't get in cause it fills to capacity & they close it. I would never go into the park on a holiday like that did Thanksgiving few years ago never again.

I've heard that MK usually has to close by like 10 or 11 in the morning. I've been there in Aug and its never been closed (but it has been crowded). I couldn't imagine it on Christmas.

Our stay last year was the 17 of Dec thru the 4 of January. Prior to Christmas Day the parks were fine. Christmas Day we stayed away from all the parks and stayed at our resort. (CSR) But I thought New Years Eve was very, very, very, very crowded. But I would spend Christmas and New Years at WDW in a heartbeat.

We have been to Disney twice during Christmas. Never went to the
MK on Christmas day but we have been on Christmas eve and a few days prior. It seems to get more crowded the closer you to Christmas. We went early and had a good time. Have Fun

I was there during Christmas 2001 (after the 9/11 attacks) the crowds surged on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day but it wasn't unbearable. Christmas Day we had PS for Ohanas at 6:00pm and there were a couple of empty table. We spent the day in Epcot and it wasn't to bad.

We were there last year Dec. 19 - Dec. 28 ---- Crowds were bad, but tolerable up to Christmas. On Christmas, they were turning away cars from the parking lot at 10:30 am - and they closed the park around 11 to new visitors. Ridiculously crowded. Now - IF you go to WDW all of the time (we are on trip #34) and only want to take in the atmosphere and parades, etc. then GO --- but if you want to go on all of the rides all day long - then be prepared for 3 hour waits for the bigger rides (or longer).

We would hit the parks at opening, ride a few rides - then be back at our resort by 11 am for relaxing - then off to dinner and fireworks. That worked great with minimal crowds - but most people show up around 10 - 11 am and stay until closing (midnight)......Jill

Thanks for all the help. We may just steer clear of the parks on Christmas Day. We went last year 19 - 23 and the crowds were not too bad. I just didn't know about Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
