Wow! Thanks, everyone!
The best part about this job is I'm FINALLY back on the internet during the day, there was no internet connection at the Senior Center...ugh....
I truly LOVED that job, but it definitely tugged on the heartstrings. The ladies and gentlemen of Big Bethel Village taught me more than I'll ever use in a lifetime. But the most amazing thing I learned was from a former principal of 91 years old who told me "God bless you, dahling, WHILE you are here. You are only here for a season, and we will be blesed during that time. Then you WILL move on...." (btw, she speaks like Katherine Hepburn!)
She was the first person I told I was leaving. She just beamed and cried.
Note, when I say 91 I mean 91 years on this earth but not the way we usually see that age. This woman still is an adminstrator at her church, drives and runs the choir. She is a testimony of the kind of independent people I got to know at the resort.
As for the Florida jobs... I know, am I CRAZEE??? I decided to pass up on the move because my son is FINALLY doing well in school. His new middle school has made an amazing change in his life. For the first time in his school life he's making all As and feels good about himself. Certain teachers CAN do this. The entire message of the school he's in is what Michael is all about. The last offer was actually from ORLANDO! My ex boss' company was opening a new station there and the job was mine. I turned it down. Transferring my son now would not be good now with all he's been through, and he matters more than me.
Again, thanks to all of my DIS friends. Michael and I are still being blessed by my parents and even though we miss them, feel their presence every day. It has brought us closer and more grateful for every day.
God bless,
Robinrs
