Early checkout at Poly

We are planning to our stay at Polynesian Resort this Christmas, just wondering if this is possible -

I think MK opens at 7am. On the date of check out, is it possible to have Bell Service collect our luggage(s) around 6:30am, and keep them until end of the day? Can we call the night before and request Bell Service coming to our room at a specific time?

We wish to go to the park before 7am and return to Poly around 3pm for a late lunch, pick up our luggage from main building and leave.

Another question. Do we still need to formally "check out" with front desk, or we can just leave? I guess they still put a paper invoice under our room door the night before check out?

Yes, you can call Bell Services to pick up your luggage and store it for you until you return.

Yes, you can call the day before to schedule the pickup. I would do it as early in the day as you can - not waiting until night.

If you do on-line check in, or give them a credit card when you check in, you will not need to stop by the front desk when you leave. Your card will automatically be charged. You will not receive an invoice the night before unless you go to the desk and ask for it. You will not receive a copy of your final folio under the door either. They will email it to you instead.

We had a situation two years ago, waited over 1 hour for Bell Services to come @ GF (but need to clarify that was their busiest time ~ 11am).

I always call when I'm leaving my room to let them know I'm checking out if I don't plan to return to my room. I only do this so they can go ahead and get started turning the room over and don't have to wait for the check out time. I'd call bell services the day before and tell the time you want, I've done it before and also had them bring up my car I had valet parked and they were there right on time.

Yes, what you describe is perfectly doable as PPs have said, and people do it all the time. Lots of people take later flights on check out day and use it it squeeze in another park day.

I don't have experience calling ahead to arrange a luggage pick up time but given the early hour and I'm assuming you'll already be heading to the lobby for transportation anyway, you MAY want to consider just taking your luggage to bell services yourself. That way you're not totally dependent on bell services showing up on time. Might not be possible if you have tons of baggage and actually need bell services, but I'd do that if possible just to be more in control of the timing. Just a thought.

And yes, no need to check out (but you can if you want to give them a heads up the room is empty and ready to turn over). They'll e-mail you your room folio the night before you leave with a summary of charges, assuming you have provided an e-mail address.

Take your luggage down to bell services yourself. There is never a guarantee how long it will take for bell services to come to you.

We just take our luggage ourselves. Never thought to call bell services to pick it up.

I wouldn't call bell services, just take it down yourself.
