How early has anyone checked in to WL?? We are arriving in Orlando the night before our check in and staying close to WDW. We are thinking we would like to check in around 6:30 AM, take a boat to CR and the monorail to MK. We really want to catch the opening ceremony and check in day seems to fit best in to our schedule. How does seem like it would work for everyone?

You can check in that early, but your room will probably not be ready. No problem, have Bell Services store your luggage and go to the parks!

That's what I figured. We don't need our room that early anyway. Who knows, maybe being there that early we can upgrade our view. :cool1: We just want to catch the rope drop. You know, "Good Morning, Good Morning. . .", one of my wife's favorite parts of our trips.

If I remember right, the boats to CR leave pretty early every morning. Our other plan was to park at MK and then check in later but I think I like this plan better.

Thanks for the help.

Check in first then parking will be free at the parks.

That's what I thought, thanks! Has anyone ever checked into a resort that early. It must be quiet at that time. I think it might be fun!

Hello fellow Rhode Islander!!!
We arrived at the Dolphin last summer at about 6:15 a.m. We drove to FL and that's when we arrived. We were very, very, very luck and our room was available so we could settle in and shower before heading out. We're making the trip again this summer and could very well arrive at the same time. We're not counting on getting a room that early again but you never know when theres :wizard: in the air!

Is it possible to request an early check-in?
THANKS

Several years ago we were traveling with a group and were to arrive at the all-star movies at 7:00am and requested an early check-in when making our reservations. It resulted in us being charged for the previous night's stay. Yikes !!

That is good information to have...If I could afford the extra night, I would be staying... :rotfl:

:earboy2: :earboy2: I love the biggest little state being represented on the DIS! Thanks for the tip. We don't expect a room really so we should be good. We are staying off property the night before after an evening flight so we will be well rested and ready to have fun. Even though Regis will be there this morning will be our only chance to see the opening ceremony which always makes my wife cry.

We've always planned out trips to WDW so we arrive the night before.

I typically am very frugal with my vacation time and usually work the day before vacation and catch a very late flight out.

Typically, I arrive about 10:30pm, check into a cheap hotel (usually on Priceline for like 25 - 30 bucks) and get up at 6am to head over.

We stay at the GF and only once have I not been able to get into my room when I got there. We stay on Conc. Floor and typically go midweek, so that might have something to do with it.

The one time I was not able to get into the room, my bags were waiting in my room when I returned in the afternoon.

Good luck
