That's a VERY expensive idea. Especially at the Grand Floridian. By the time you land, take the magical express, and stop at any other hotels on the way, you are likely to arrive around noon or 1pm. There's really no need to book an entire night at GF (which could be around $800) to avoid waiting at max a couple hours for a room, especially considering your room could be ready at 8am. Just check your bags and enjoy the park if your room's not ready. That extra money could be used in so many better ways: like at the spa, a few very nice dinners, and a bunch of shopping.

Indeed, not a cheap option, and something I’ve never done in the US, only in Hong Kong when coming in on flights landing very early, like 6 AM. Just throwing it out there.
I know, it is quite expensive. My fiance and I's concern is me being exhausted for the beginning of the trip (I do have some issues that require a larger amount of sleep than most folks) which is why the "need to nap" might sound silly for everyone else! Flying in early after our wedding night and taking a nap, we get almost an entire half day more in Disney (not including the nap as being "in Disney") than the other similar-in-price flights that are offered from where we're coming from. It's either a 9:25AM arrival or a 3 PM if I'm looking for non-stop at a similar price.
Not trying to waste money, just trying to gain time, spend about the same amount of money, and not get sick from running around Disney on 4 hours of sleep.
