Early check in at Dolphin

How early can I try to check-in at the Dolphin? I realize the room may not be ready but if I arrive at 8am, Can they store my bags until later and can I use the pool?

We checked in at the Dolphin on a Friday morning in late July and our rooms were ready at 9AM, and they were connecting rooms. They would have held our luggage anyway. We were able to get our UPH tickets and were in Epcot by 9:30.

Yes. If your room is not ready yet they will hold your bags and off you can go to the parks. When we checked in at 2pm on the 12th our room was ready. There have been many times when we have arrived at "Disney" resorts at 2pm and our room was not ready. Just keep in mind that offical check-in is "after 3pm" I would go with the mind set that the room would not be ready and if it was then it would be a bonus.
