let me re-phrase this..........we ARE doing the gold package, we are NOT doing room only's buying separatly etc... HOWEVER given this info.................does this budget look right flight/transport /misc etc.. wise........and FYI- Nov 27th IS VALUE season in 2005

************end edit*************

We're travelling to WDW Nov27-Dec3 2005
DH, Myself, DD's will be 8 & 9 at time

Flights SW from BDL to MCO $200.00 total $800.00
airport hotel BDL- includes parking $100.00
Transportation MCO/WDW/MCO $150 (??? town car of some type???)
Disney's dream maker package,5 nights Gold at WL $4602.00
waiting to hear back from AAA- they DO offer discounts on packages...

(we'll be arriving at MCO appx1030 so we will do the package from day one-)...

Dec 2nd- room only WL- 221.00 less 10%AAA 199.00 hoping for room only code

Mouskeeping-transport tips $50.00

Misc food/souviners $525.00
(meals are included in Gold as are recreation/kids clubs etc)

So my "fake" total so far is $6426.00 thats $494.00 a month to save...

I may downgrade to a moderate, but I would really like to be at WL due to the proximity of recreation activites, the kidsclub, and MK...It will take something major to downgrade.

So please- beat up my budget....I dont think I've left anything out?

Brandy

Did you consider using Dreams Unlimited? They will keep an eye out for discounts for you....

Also, We used FL Tours in April for town car service and I think your amount is high.... Wonderful Service! (DD 3 is still asking if Sonny will pick us up at the airport again when we go for Christmas 2005) Town car is a great way to go! Worth every penny!

Good Luck to you!

IMHO, I would never pay $4600 to stay five nights at the WL. I know you get the tickets and food, etc... but you can do it soooo much cheaper. In Nov. it may be value season and there may be codes. We are leaving for our 7th trip in the past 3 years and this would pay for 2 of our trips totally and we never stay less than 6 nights and we also do at least 3 character meals and several sit down restuarants.

If your only staying 5 nights, a four day park hopper may be all you need. AAA usually has those at a discount for members. You can't do the waterparks, but with only 4 full days you probably won't have time anyway.

Food for the day you could easily do for $150-$175 per day and not skimp.

Lets say you spend $200 a night for the hotel=$1,000;
Then you spend $800 for food (generous here)
Then you spend $350 for each 4 day park hopper (this is a guess, I know its not right) 350x4=1,400.
The grand total would be $3,200. That is $1,400 less than the gold package and you would have a wonderful extravagant time.

This is just my opinion, but I would reconsider the gold plan. But with whatever plan you go with, have a wonderful trip.

with going room only and buying your tix seperately. Although next november is NOT value season, they've changed that so rates won't be quite as good as this years.

But, we're spending less than you have estimated for our November trip for 5 adults 1 child and 1 baby and staying 10 days.

I think you can do it cheaper, if that is what you're looking to do. I think the post above mine illustrates a good idea of what you could do without the package.

Have a great time!

Another vote to check into separate instead of the package again!

Also, transport to and front should be a bit less : )

Room $618 W/Taxes -9 Nights Disney’s Pop Century AAA Discount

Grand Total - $2523
$1000 Food - includes Ohana w/Wishes - CP @ Epcot w/Rose Crown Pub for Illuminations & IC Social

I'd save the money every month anyway. Then scour these boards and other websites for discounts. Buy each part separately as the discounts come up and as you save the money. You will wind up with a boat load of cash left over. ;)

Some friends of mine are going down next week with 7 people. They called me after they had booked with Disney travel. I could have got the same exact thing for $1800 less and with a direct flight down. They tried to back out, but it was too late. Now they'll be paying for 3 park days they won't even use. First day, last day and the day of Mickeys Halloween party. Oh well, lessons learned.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend. But you said to "beat up your budget." Just have a great trip!!!:D

Have you considered getting a DVC studio at the WL for some or all of your trip? I haven't checked out how many "points" it would cost you for those dates, but perhaps you could save some money. You could go to the DVC rent/trade board here and ask how much DVC members might want for renting you a room.

I don't do the packages. I buy 7+4 park hoppers from Hotwire Savings Club, and feel that I'm saving a lot that way versus the length-of-stay passes. (I don't even know what Disney calls those these days!) One 7+4 park hopper lasts me two or three 6-day trips, especially if I'm doing MVMCP or MNSSHP for a couple of the days.
