Early breakfasts

We are going to the 1900 Park Fare for 8:00 breakfast and another morning we are going to Boma for a 7:30 breakfast. The CM told me that the buses might not be running early enough to get us there. Have any of you run into this and what is the best way to get that early...we do not have a car. Someone said something about a taxi but that it was really expensive. Also, do we have to go to the Animal Kingdom Park first and then take a bus to the resort or do the buses go directly from resort to resort? We will be staying at Allstar Movies. Thanks for any help. We leave in 6 days!!!

Hmmm....The buses don't run directly from resort to resort, so you'd have to transfer at a park. I know that the buses run early enough to get you to the earliest seatings at the park restaurants, but I don't think you would have time to transfer to another bus to get to the resort restaurants, especially not for a 7:30 seating at Boma. Unless someone else knows something I don't, I think your only option would be a taxi.

At many of the resorts, there are taxis waiting out front all the time, but I don't know if this is true of all resorts. And I've never used one of the taxis, so I don't know how expensive they are.

You may want to try posting this question on the Transporation Board also. Maybe someone there can offer other suggestions.

It would be hard to make the 7:30, the buses will begin running at around 7:00 a.m. So, take the bus to MK and then the boat to GF and you should be fine for the 8:00 ADR.

The early morning character buses will take you wherever you need to go. Just be outside at the bus stop about an hour before you ADR time or else tell guest services where you need to be and have them make sure a character bus is coming. When I was there in May I had an early morning tour at AK. A MK character bus came by and then just a few minutes later another MK bus came by again. I guess I had a disgusted look in my face because the bus driver stepped off the bus and asked where I needed to go. I told him AK for a tour and that another MK bus had just came by. He looked around for a minute and said 'come on'. I said 'but your going to MK' he laughed and said 'not anymore', changing his sign to AK. During our ride to AK he said that character buses can go wherever they're needed. He also made the comment that they went to the character meals at the resorts as needed, as well as to the character meals in the parks.

Just to confirm that the above is true.

The early morning breakfast busses will be running to the MK area at about 6:15AM since you can get ressies as early as 7AM.

When the bus comes, just tell the driver where you need to go. He SHOULD be able to drop you off right at the resort. For the GF, if he can't, the resort monorail starts at 7AM.

Definately take the morning character breakfast buses, it shouldn't be a problem at all.

Wow! I didn't even know there was such a thing as a character bus. Thanks for the info. This will be very helpful on our Jan. trip. I assumed we would have to go to TTC and then transfer.

I understand that the character buses start their daily runs 45 minutes before the first scheduled breakfast for that day.

My aunt was told the same thing before her July trip. All her worries were for nothing. She had no trouble getting from the WL to Animal Kingdom or Magic Kingdom for early breakfasts.
