Early breakfasts

We're checking into DLH on Thursday cheer2. We plan to use EMH on Sat. and Sunday, which means getting to the esplanade around 6:30am. Where do you have breakfast before EMH? I don't want to waste park time by eating inside the gates, and I'm not someone who can skip breakfast either. Is the coffee shop in DLH open that early? The DTD options?

Have you thought about getting something the night before from Whitewater Snacks or Starbucks that you can eat while waiting for the gate to open? The only thing in DTD open that early is Starbucks. I don't think LaBrea Bakery Express even opens during EMH. Whitewater Snacks opens at the start of EMH when it's an 8am park opening.

If you're staying at DLH, then just stop by Tangaroa Terrace the day before you do your EMH. They do have "grab and go" things like muffin, pastries, cereal in addition to CS food. That way you can eat in your room or eat while walking to the gates at EMH. No need to make a special trip to White Water Snacks @ GCH (unless you're craving something like nachos at the time you swing by--or if you want to check out the lobby or Hearthstone Lounge). DTD is unlikely to have anything open that early in the AM for a weekend EMH. Or pack breakfast bars in your luggage? DH just usually packs a big box of cereal, and a couple of bowls & spoons. We buy a quart of milk, and keep it in the hotel fridge so we can do a quick breakfast on those early AM's.

The coffee shop at DLH next to Goofys Kitchen is open super early, maybe 6am? I don't know about you but I need hot COFFEE if I'm going to do anything at 6:30am!!

Just checked and the coffee house does open at 6. But, getting stuff the day before at Tangeroa may make for a more relaxed morning.

The Starbucks in DTD opens at 0600 and is a viable option for both munchies and caffeine. Worked great for us yesterday morning.

This morning we had grabbed muffinsfrom Earl of Sandwich with dins last night.
