Early boarding time

You can go to Guest Services the first day as soon as you board the ship and fill out the paperwork. It will list all the port stops on your cruise and you will check the ones he can get off the ship.

That will be the back up plan, but I would rather have it signed and done so I can take it with us since we will be arriving at different times. I like to get everything done at one time and then I can go enjoy the boat while I wait on the rest of our party.

Hi, my family has 2 reservations that are linked. My mom and son are on one reservation, and my husband and I are on the other. We have connecting cabins. My mom is a Castaway Club member and we are not. Will my husband and I be allowed to board earlier with my mom and son?

Not unless you get Pixie Dusted. To board together she would have to wait for those who are first time cruisers. Sister and BIL who were first timers cruised with us last May. We went on when our boarding number was called and were in the lobby maybe 10-15 minutes and they were coming through the door. This also depends if the first timers want to stop along the way in to get their boarding photo taken. Most Castaway cruisers pass on this and keep walking by. Have a great cruise.

The only Castaway Club members that get to board before others are Platinum. Everyone else (even 1st time cruises) pick a PAT (Port arrival time) when they do their online check in. Once you arrive a the port you will be assigned a boarding #. Your boarding # is tied to your PAT. If you receive different boarding #'s Disney ask thatyou wait and all board with the higher #.

Does boarding early or boarding later give you an advantage for having a quieter, less crowded lunch? We want to go to the DVC gathering, and possibly the ship tour as well but not sure how that will all fit in if get a later PAT.

Boarding early is definitely a busier time in Cabanas unless you were planning Enchanted Gardens. Boarding earlier also gives you a better chance for onboard reservations like Beverage tastings that sometimes fill up quickly if you are planning to try any of those.
