My son will turn 7 the week after we get back. Should I do anything special while we are there for his upcoming birthday?

Are you staying on site? if so you could call the front desk and let them know you are celebrating you son's birthday and they will send to your room balloons and a signed picture from one of the charaters. We did it for my DD who was 5. Also you can get a button at towne hall in the MK that says today is my birthday. Some feel it is wrong to have a kid wear it if isn't actually the day of their birthday (how many people have a party for their kids but it isn't the actual day!) but I say pick a day that you are celebrating and have him enjoy it! You won't get any "special" privilages but people will say happy birthday, cast members usually say something nice. My DD loved it! Also if you plan a meal out let them know you are celebrating his birthday and they will sprinkle mickey dust on the table and give him a big cupcake with a candle and the characters will sing Happy birthday.
we had the best time! would love to be able to celebrate all of our kids birthday there!

Definitely pick a day and make it his birthday!!!

Get the Birthday badge and live it up!!! You may very well get special privileges! I wouldn't let my kids wear the badge more than one day, but one day is enough if you get lucky!

My kids have gotten actual gifts from CM's, signed birthday cards, a phone call from Goofy inside the theme park (that one was GREAT!), tons of special attention and "insider tips", and one night a CM had the entire crowd waiting for the MS Electrical Parade sing Happy Birthday while she stood in the middle of the street!!!

Both my children have birthdays the week we return from WDW. My oldest DS will be 10 and my baby (not any more, boohoo) DS will be 7. We have told the kids for the past two years that this trip would be their present for this year and their celebration of their birthdays. I would really like to bring it to the attention of the Disney CM's at hotel, etc. but am embarrassed that they might think I'm lying if we tell them that each child has a birthday. Only four days apart, what was I thinking:rolleyes: How would you feel about this? I hate for them to miss out on the "special" attention they would get. It is our first trip to Disney and of course I want it to be truly magical and a birthday gift they will never forget.

First I wouldn't think twice about telling! I have a friend who has 2 kids born on the same day, 3 years apart!
Plus when you made your ressies they asked you for their birthdays. So do it and have a wonderful time! I don't think they will think it is odd!

I totally forgot that they asked for the birthdays when I made the ressies, it seems so long ago;) My two boys are also three years apart, except for the four days. Thanks. I will advised them to tell anyone who asks, they are each celebrating a birthday next week and hopefully they will add that Disney is the best birthday present they have ever had.:D
