early birthday wishes??

this might not be the right place for this thread, but not sure where else to put it. my daughter's birthday is on 1.16. we are leaving disney on 12.26. is this too far out to celebrate her birthday in disney. it would be so cool if she could get a card from her favorite character, but there is 3 weeks difference. thanks for any opinion.

Just tell the resort where you're staying that it's her birthday. We were at the GF two years ago for DD's birthday. She had an autographed photo from Cinderella along with a GF chocolate bar in our room when returned from the park one day. If you book a character meal, simply note that her birthday is being celebrated. Amy had Prince Charming bring out a birthday cupcake for her and she got a happy birthday tiara (sis got a plain one) and an autographed laminated placemat. They don't ask for ID to prove it's her actual birthday. Also be sure to stop by city hall and pick up a birthday button for her to wear.

You can have them note you are there celebrating a birthday but don't expect anything. Sometimes they will do things but they may not. I agree about the birthday button but if you want something special arrange and pay for it yourself.

They understand that not everyone can be there on their actual birthday. They have separate buttons... one says celebrating a birthday, and the other is today is my birthday, so just get the right one (guest services, I think.) My son's birthday is 3 1/2 weeks before our trip, but we can't go earier because of end of grade testing. We will certainly be celebrating his birthday, and DD4's preschool graduation when we go.

We check out on what would have been DS's birthday, if only he'd arrived on his due date! I think we might celebrate a bit that day.
