Early August Discount/Code Watch

Has anyone heard of any rumors regarding any public codes / room only discounts yet for early august? Please list all rumors in this thread. It isn't looking good but disney will still be a blast We're going August 6-10th. Yeah!!!

Lots of folks are waiting for AP and Florida residents room discounts for that timeframe. Until that happens I don't think we'll see general public room discounts. There have been very few (if any) GP discounts lately. There have been some good packages released throughout the year. Most of us AP holders thought there would be a release by now for that timeframe, but nothing as of today and still waiting.

we are looking for Aug 8th to Aug 19th.

The same thing is happening now that happened in May 2006. They past over June completely and the AP rates were not out when we all knew that was the time frame they should have been out.

Now these AP rates should have been out by now based on past "trends". The "RED FLAG" is flying high now. I think August is being skipped.

I just think it's weird that there is availabiltity at every resort for my dates, but the end of August when the like 5 different discounts were offered for everything looks pretty booked. They need to give us something to fill up the rooms like the other discounts have done for the other dates.

Maybe since Disney bumped up the value season to start on August 5th (??)is why there hasn't been any thing. I did get a postcard stating the rooms during this time frame are 15% less then last year.

I think you may have "hit the nail on the head". BINGO. At least this is what I am thinking too.

They only bumped the value season for the Value resorts.

August always was value season for the Deluxes.

Do you know when to moderate resorts value season usually started? Just curious.

I hope Disney is planning on doing something soon. The 45 day mark is coming up soon for me and even sooner for those going at the beginning of August.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Florida resident discounts become available on Thursday and historically the AP rates are released the day before so it looks like the AP rates will be available tomorrow.

AP AND florida resident discounts available 8/5 into september. Now, let's just hope general public codes will be released for early august. Here's hoping....
