Early April Trip Report

Just had some time to post some notes from our trip from early April trip to VWL. We have not been in April before.

We where very happy with the transportation system. In fact we felt it was much better than it had been for our Oct trips. This was true even though the resort was much busier than in Oct. Not sure if this is due to the new dispatch system or the fact that Disney gears up for the busier time?? Don’t get me wrong, Oct transportation wait times are fine, just was great this time. Example: We went to the Poly twice in about 35 min by taking the boat to Contemporary then the Monorail.

VWL was great. We where in a 2br very close to elevator. That was cool especially at the end of the day.

The room, resort staff where all great. Store was well stocked as usual. Pool was great. There where neat activities each day. At the pool there where daily contests and music and dancing. At Roaring Forks there was a daily kid cooking decorating station.

Parks: where busy as we knew they would be. However, if you have a plan and use the fast pass system, you get to do everything you want to do. I am always amazed the people who don’t have a plan.

Headed to WLV in Oct....can't wait. Is this new in roaring forks....the cooking kids demonstration.

I think the OP meant a cookie decorating demonstration. They give the kids a cookie and some frosting. Last month when we were there a large group of moms and kids were hanging around waiting for the CM to finish setting up her cookie table. A couple of kids sat down and decorated, the rest took cookies and left. Guess the words out, free cookies.

So sorry I did mean cookie-decorating station.

Did not watch my spell check close enough. It is free cookies, but also a chance for the kids to kid of have a little art project (that tastes so good).

If as mentioned above going in Oct, our family really enjoys the MNSSHP.
