Early Anniversary, Would It Be Wrong...?

I personally wouldn't do it. I would not be comfortable ... 2 months away is a really long time away! THere are enough people there ON their anniversary or birthday that don't get recognition. Why spread it even thinner.

DH and I did go for our anniversary, and told EVERYONE. We didn't get a "Happy Anniversary" or card or upgrade...nothing at all. It wasn't a disappointment to us, we were celebrating just for us. Just wanted to tell you our experience. Also, we have been at WDW on the exact birthday of one of our children 4 different times. ONE time, one child got a card and balloons at the resort. The other 3 times, nothing. Once again, we were not disappointed or upset...just wanted to share our experiences.

The celebration of an event does not always happen on the exact date it really occured. Is Thanksgiving really the day all the Pilgrims got together and ate turkey? No, Thanksgiving is the day that is officially set aside to comemerate that event. You are doing the same thing, setting aside a time to celebrate an event. I do not think its a "lie" to say "we are celebrating x number of years of marriage". It would be a lie to go to a place that offered say a free dinner for two, but only if you went on the ACTUAL day of your anniversary as the terms of receiving that freebie. But thats not even remotely the case here. You might get a free dessert or something but since you are going to WDW (and spending the money to do so) in order to celebrate your big day, I see no problem with it. And trust me the cm's won't either. If it makes the morality police feel better, tell the waiter, cm or whoever, your situation so that when they say "great, happy anniversary" you can feel better.
