Early ADRs

I think I've lost my mind scheduling early ADRs lol. I have a 1 yr old and 4 yr old. We are staying at AoA. Approx how long will it take to get to the Polynesian resort and Contemporary (on a different morning)? My earliest ADR is for 7:30 at Kona.

I really like the idea of getting an early start and being at the park really early. But I have a feeling my kids won't appreciate it and it's going to be more crazy than it's worth lol!!

We would prefer to rely on Disney transpo, HOWEVER, we will be driving and could potentially drive ourselves if it's faster/easier (and doesn't cost more $$ for parking). What do you all think? Thanks

I think buses for MK early ADRs start running 6:30 am. You may have to transfer at MK to the monorail for the Resorts. But mention to the bus driver you are going to Poly or Contemporary and you MAY get direct drop off (YMMV). This should take about an hour with wait time and travel time.

Check with front desk to verify the 6:30 time. If it is much later, you could drive just for breakfast, parking (free) is available for 3 hours. This should take about 20 minutes.

Since you're staying on site you can park at any resort for free (same for the theme parks if you choose to drive there as well) BUT as noted above, only for 3 hours then you must move your car or risk it being towed

The front desk will very likely tell you that buses start 1 hour before the park opens, which is incorrect. Buses start running at 6:30 every single morning.

For ADRs earlier than 8:00, I would drive.

For your ADR at the Contemporary, take the early bus to MK. As a PP mentioned, if you tell the driver you are going to CR, he/she *may* drop you there. If not, it's a short walk from the MK bus depot over to CR.

For your early ADR at the Poly, drive yourself and park in the TTC (MK ) lot. From there, it's a short walk over to the Poly. This assumes you plan to visit MK after your breakfast. If you plan to hit another park, drive to the Poly for your breakfast and drive to the other park from there.

Thank you all for the info! For our 7:30a res sounds like we will def be driving - if I get any later than 8, we'll prob take public transpo since we'll head directly to the park afterwards. Thanks for the time estimates, Steve!
