i didnt want to start i new thread for such a silly question,so i thought i'd just ask here, Whats the earliest you can have breakfest? i have had i look to see what the breakfest times are but i cant find it anywhere.

Not a silly question at all.:goodvibes

As it's a very relevant part of planning a DLP trip I've started a new thread for it.

I think we ate at 7am on our last trip, I'm pretty sure that's the earliest but I'm probably wrong!!!

7am is the earliest you can have breakfast at the Explorers but I'm not sure whether the Disney hotels are the same.

Whilst we're talking breakfasts, we have GMF breakfasts booked for the Weds, Thurs and Fri of our trip in September (3 weeks, 2 days to go  ) As it was all arranged through our travel agent, I don't know what time it will be...are there specific times for it? Anyone even know where it is? With the GMF breakfasts, are you allowed into the rides early once you've finished breakfast (no EMH in the mornings whilst we're there)?

Sorry if this is asking dumb q's, I just want it all to be so perfect!

I thought i may have been around 7:upsidedow , how about GMF breakfests? the reason i ask is that i have just seen that we will have EMH in the morning of are still so i want to make good use of them:goodvibes .Do you think an early hotel breakfest or GMF breakfest would be best to get the most time out of EMH?

milomummy~ Anyone even know where it is?

I think they are in different places each month, but it will say on you voucher when you get it:thumbsup2

we came home last night from dlp (we stayed 4 nights in the Newport Bay) and the earliest breakfast was 7 am

If you are having GMF when EMH isn't on in the morning, you will get into Fantasyland earlier than 10am, as thats usually where the GMF breakfast is taken (but not always). As has been said already, you will be told when you check in which restaurant in the Park is doing your GMF.

However, the rides in Fantasyland don't open until 10am if there is no morning EMH, so you won't be able to ride them until then. You can be first in the queue though - very handy for Dumbo! (we did Dumbo twice, the teacups and the carousel without any real waiting thanks to our GMF in Fantasyland in February).

If EMH is on in the morning and you want GMF breakfast as well, from what I understand you can't have GMF until at least 8am (when EMH starts), but what we intend doing is being at the Park for 8am to do some of our favourite rides in Fantasyland (and Buzz of course) and then taking a late slot for our GMF breakfast (ie 9.30 or 9.45).

Thanks everyone,

I didnt think of looking there happy tappy thanks, it says 7am - 11am for cheyenne but i guess this is the standard times for al the hotels,we only thought it was till 10am on our last stay(could have had some zzzzzzzz)

have just also seen that the GMF breakfest at Au Chalet de Marionnette is open one hour before park opening-so about 9am ~ still not sure how it works with EMH tho

I meant to add for milomummy,

You will be given your choice of what time slot (subject to availability) for your pre-booked GMF breakfasts when you check into your hotel.

However, the rides in Fantasyland don't open until 10am if there is no morning EMH

When I visited last November we had a GMF breakfast at 9am and most of the fantasyland rides opened at 9:30. The rest of the paying public weren't allowed in until 10:30 (park opened at 10am, rope drops were 10:30)

Fantasyland rides are open before 10.00am, whenever we have the GMF we always just "grab and go" and then race around the open Fantasyland rides before everyone else, last March we had IASW all to ourselves. :)
It's the only way I get to get to do the Fantasyland rides now - at 13 and 8 my two DS's have a different agenda.;)

We must have been unlucky when we had our GMF in Feb then.
The park opened just after 9, rope drop from Main St into the "lands" was at 10.

Our GMF was booked for 9.15, we got to the restaurant (Bella Notte - which DD loved  ) about 9.20, and had finished breakfast around 9.45. From there we walked round to the carousel, which was starting up for its checks etc, but was still roped off. Dumbo was the same, as was the teacups. We went into the queueing area at Dumbo, and were almost at the front of the line (one family ahead of us) when they did the first ride just before 10am. We then went back to the line and did Dumbo again, then the teacups, then the carousel.

Even if the rides aren't up and running much prior to rope-drop time when you are there milomummy, GMF definitely gives you advantages over the normal hotel breakfast. It gets the thumbs-up from me :goodvibes !

Can someone tell me~ whether to choose your own breakfest time slots or are you just given a time slot when you ask to book? on our last trip with had a VIP pass so we could just walk in(we didnt realise we could do this until the 2nd day, so we queued on the first day even tho we had booked a time slot again we didnt realise there was a diifferent queue for ppl that had booked. On our next trip i'd like to try and have breakfest about 7:30ish every morning so i just wondered whether we would be able to book the time we want.

Yes, you can book the time you want - subject to availability.
When we checked into Santa Fe, we were given, from what I can recall, 3 different breakfast slots to choose from.

Elaine

When we were at SL, we went for breakfast around 7.30am earlier than our time slot and the CM's didn't mind at all, mind you the breakfast room was almost empty at that time too. :)
