Earliest Time For Flight Home

What is the earliest flight I can book going home after a 3 day cruise? How much time do I allow in disembarking and traveling to the airport?

It has been suggested here on these boards to book your returning flight for noon or after. The commute from the port to the airport is between 45 min to an hour depending on traffic, etc. You also need to take into consideration any unforseen hold ups i.e. weather, customs hold ups, transfer problems, etc.
