I was reading in my unofficial ghuide book(christmas present from hubby) that they don't reccommend eating breakfast in the parks cuz that cuts into your park time. My dd really wants to eat there and I thought breakfast would be the food we would enjoy the most. So does anyone know what the earliest seating we could get? Is it worth it to sit and eat? Will it cut into our park time? It will be outr first trip dd will be 8 and ds will be 5 so I wanna do as much as we can early before the crowds get nutty.(oh if this helps dates we'll be there 9/20-9/25/09)Please help me I'm begining to drown in the sea of info. TIA

I believe the earliest seating is 8:05. We have done it on our past 2 trips and asked for the earliest seating and this is what we got. It is always a trip highlight to grab a pre-opening ADR and stroll down Mainstreet without any crowd!!

While that is probably the earliest seating, keep in mind that many times all early ADR/BBB appts are let into the park at the same time....like 8:15am (plus some time to wander an empty Main St and take some pics too). No one will 'take' your reservation but it will obviously start later and keep you there later as well.

So should I scrap the idea of CRT 1st thing? We have to only allow one day per park (dh's schedule limits our vacation time) Would it be better to do a later breakfast say 11:30 ish? We will be staying CL at CSR so we'll have access to to light breakfast items early to tide us over.

If you only have one day per park and you want to do a lot of the big rides, I would definitely suggest doing CRT for the last breakfast seating or maybe even lunch. I've heard lunch is easier to get into, and the princesses are still there.

We do the CRT at 8:05 am all the time. I think, it is a great time as they serve you fast as the plate is pre-plated. You can eat all you want but the first plate is the standard stuff. We are usually out of there by 8:55 am exactly. We have to wait at rope drop into Fantasyland. However, on our last trip we could not get 8:05 am reservation as we weren't staying onsite so I had to call daily and I think, that lowered my chances. But let's say the park opens really early the day you want to go then, just have a late breakfast around 10:30 am. Tour the park from 7-8 to 10:30 am. We did notice at 10:30 am it did take longer to get through breakfast as we had to wait for Cinderella to return from the stage show to get our picture. I would have skipped it but it was part of the package with the picture.

I do think the breakfast is expensive but you have to decide if you want to get the autographs there or wait in line at the Judge's tent? Either way you are wasting park time. I figure if this is what your kid wants to do then, do what works best. My dds love autographs and my dh loves to sit down and eat so, it is a win-win for our family. Good luck deciding...
