every trip we get there early and room is ready.

This year we're stopping at myrtle beach on the way. Leaving Sunday night to arrive at CBR Monday morning. It's 7-8 hours from myrtle. Dilemma is don't wanna pay for Sunday night at myrtle so planning on leaving Sunday evening but will arrive at like 3 am at Disney. Any chance we could get in room at that time? Will they frown on napping in car on parking lot til park opens. Lol. Trying to think of best strategy.

The earliest you can check in is 6AM. But being able to check in and getting a room are 2 different things. There's no way I'd drive overnight and take a chance on not getting into my room until 3PM.
MTE

I would either stay in Myrtle Beach and leave later or add a night onto my WDW reservation.

Agreed!!!

we did this involuntarily once (flights cancelled and delayed so we arrived with no sleep after almost 24 hours travel at 5:00 am. Tried to check in. Played the sympathy card of no sleep. Didn't get into a room until after 6:00 PM! We were too tired to go to theme parks. we spent all day in the lobby of the GF waiting. To say that it was not fun is an understatement! I would pay for the room at a value or nearby and offsite and let them know that we would be late arriving (3:00 am). It is worth it to have a room to sleep in when you arrive at 3:00 am.

Check in at the hotels begins at 6 AM but there may not be a room available until 3 PM or even later. If you're staying in a DVC villa, the room will probably not be ready until 4PM. The chances of a DVC villa being ready at 6 AM is pretty much zero.

If I just drove 7-8 hours to reach my destination, I would not chance it. Especially if there were children involved. And I most certainly would not consider sleeping in my car, in the Florida heat, to be an acceptable back up plan.

Why not look for an inexpensive hotel off-property for that night and confirm that you will be a late arrival. You can check in and crash until check out time. Then hit the parks refreshed and ready for your Disney vacation.

@Babsy GMTA!

I also would not take the risk. We've definitely had times our room was not ready until at least 3pm and that's not a chance I would want to take. If your goal is to show up and be able to rest at 3am or even 6am I'd be sure to have a hotel booked for that night even if it's just a cheap property offsite.

Well yeah that was other option getting a cheap room. Want to go to parks as well as soon as they open. It thanks. Didn't know 6 am was earliest

Can I still do online check-in and we would put the estimated arrival time ? I land in Orlando at about 11:44 pm so I would probably arrive around 12:30 am to 1:30 am.

if it were me I would Priceline or Hotwire a hotel off property for the night. I would just pack an overnight bag with what you need for the next day and leave the rest in the car.

You need to reserve a room for that night and then you can check in at 3am. I've checked into the GF at 1am, but I had a room paid for that night, even though I was getting in late.

If you're arriving at 12:30 AM, you still cannot officially check in until 6AM. Once you're officially checked in, you will be able to access all entitlements (tickets, dining plan, and areas restricted to "resort guests only" like pools and gyms). However, your room may still not be ready until 3 PM or later. If you want to be able to go straight to a room when you arrive at 12:30 AM, you need to reserve your room for the night. IOW, for the previous day. Hotel rooms are reserved by the night, not by the day.

How do I reserve a room ? Can I just call Disney to make sure they have it noted ?

You would call Disney or book it online. Just like you would have for the rest of your trip. So if you arrive at say 12:30AM on 5/2, you would have to have a room booked for 5/1 to cover that night. Otherwise you would be unable to check in until the computers roll over at 6AM 5/2.

You need to add a night to your existing reservation. I'm not sure what you mean by noted? What are the dates for your reservation and when do you arrive at MCO?

I arrive the 27 July at 11:44pm (landing) and I depart on August 2nd.
