Earliest possible check in

I have a similar question, and thought I'd ask here instead of starting a separate thread. We have a room booked at Boardwalk Villas starting on a Saturday night for 7 nights. It turned out the best flight we could get is Friday night arriving at MCO at 10:30 pm. If I book friday night at a cheaper resort (since I am completely out of DVC points) how late can you check in? I'm worried because we will be arriving so late. They wouldn't consider us a no show, and give the room away would they? Or does the check in counter close? If the flight is delayed we may arrive after midnight. I'm also considering one night at a hotel closer to the airport. I'm just undecided.

I would seriously consider reserving a room at the Hyatt MCO. It is INSIDE the airport. You simply get off the plane, get your luggage, check-in and go to sleep. They next day, you can take DME to BWV and start your vacation!

So if I'm correct, I stay and rest in my room until 3:45 am and then check out once DME is ready to pick me up ?

As others have said, you don't have to go to the front desk to check-out. You can rest in your room until about 20 minutes before DME pick-up and then head out to the DME pick-up location at your resort. I would highly suggest setting your check-out day as August 2. If you make it August 1, you will be without a room from 11 am on August 1 until your flight leaves on August 2 and, as another PP pointed out, you will not be able to schedule DME on Aug. 2 if you check out on Aug. 1. An alternative may be checking out on August 1 and then booking a room at an airport hotel (like Hyatt MCO) for the night of August 1, so you are closer to the airport on your flight day. It just depends on what you prefer.
