Earliest ECV pickup

Which ECV rentals allow for the earliest pick up? We're flying in on a red eye and will be going to the early entry at Universal, probably without stopping at our hotel first (we'll be renting a car).

I'd like to stop somewhere to just pick up the ecv, but I'm not sure of the best location.

Any insight?

not meaning to be a downer with you plan but where do you plan to put suitcases and carryons plus an ECV in the rental? plus at the small park I work at we just had a car broken into while in parking lot and police told them that what thieves could see made them the target. not a good start to their vacation

There will just be two of us in the car so I figure between the back seats and the trunk we can make everything fit. And when we're in the parks, we'll make sure our luggage is in the trunk instead of the back seat.

I don't think anyplace lets you pick it up. Why not rent from Universal that first day?

You'll probably need to call a few vendors. Find out their hours for pick-up. Ask if you can pick-up at their location, or you could probably arrange to meet them at Universal.

Enjoy your vacation!

We have picked up a scooter direct. I won't mention the vendor; because, I'm not happy with their scooters. You will probably have to call and see which place may be the earliest to open. Keep in mind you will want a rental place close to Universal; so, you don't waste time in traffic.

I agree with the other poster and on the first day I would rent at the park for the scooter. It's not worth all the hassle doing it. Then, you can get a scooter dropped off at the resort and you won't have to play around with all of this or do it when you don't have to be so rushed.

I agree with the others who suggested renting at the park for this first day.
There are places where you can pick up, but I see Early Entry for Universal is 7 am. It's very unlikely that any of them will be open early enough for you to pick up and get to early opening. I would expect business hours for their store locations to be between 8 and 9 am because the great majority of their business is delivery, not pick up.

The pick up location may not be that close to either the airport or Universal, so you may have to go out of your way to get there and have to figure out the best route on the fly. Even if one did open for pick up at 6 am (very unlikely!) you would probably still have difficulty getting to Universal by 7.

I know some will meet you for delivery, but I doubt any would do it as early as you would need and that adds another level of hassle - where to meet, what time, what if you or they are late.
It just would be a lot less rushing and worry to rent at the park for the day.
