Earl Of Sandwich

I don't like sandwiches. I never eat them. I'm just not a sandwich person. I will eat the occasional wrap, but only if everybody I'm with has forced me to go get sandwiches somewhere. But I will not choose to go out and get sandwiches or wraps on my own. Ever. When I was told about EoS, I said I'd go to humor my other half, but I expected very little because, like I said, not a fan of sandwiches.

That said, I ~*LOVE*~ EoS. Love, love, love it. It's always our first stop after getting checked in and my mouth starts watering as soon as our plane touches down at MCO. When we were there for a week, we ate there 3 times and when we were there for 4 days we ate there twice. The bread is crunchy but moist, warm but not dried out, and the whole sandwich itself... It's one of the two places I've ever eaten where what you see on the picture is EXACTLY what you get. I'm addicted to "The Original 1762" and their Caesar Wrap is disgustingly good. The sweets I think are fine... Some better than others, but better then an average sandwich shop.

Yes, the line gets long, but even when the line goes out the door, we manage to get our food in 5 minutes or less. It is the most streamlined operation I think I've ever seen as far as quick-serve food. My only complaint is that finding tables can be tricky and it can get loud, loud enough to where it's hard to talk and be heard. But even knowing that, we still can't wait to go.

In fact, the closest EoS to us just opened up 3.5 hours away... We are driving down next week to eat there. That is the *only* reason for our trip. Not even joking.

Here's a picture of "The Original 1762"

As you can see...E of S is a favorite amongst the troops...I mean visitors to the House of the Mouse..it is our favorite too..
I always get the FULL MONTAGU and my hubby gets the original.....our friends got the tuna melt one and also the Original...
My sil one time got the tomato soup and she said it was so rich and thick and creamy and delicious....
Havent had a bad sandwich there..
Have fun

We always eat there the first night after driving for 2 days we need some Disney right away, so we hit up dtd and get the original and a chicken cesars salad and walk it over to the margarita stand for some awsome drinks and very of the water, we share the sand and the salad walk around the shops for a couple hours and end the night with ice cream from ghirardelli's. The perfect first night!

Earl of Sandwich is a favorite in our family. The Best BLT definitely lives up to its' name.

Thanks everybody, im so excited to try this place. Has anyone had the Italian sanwich, or the potato bacon soup or the Earls Grey Lemonade?
Thanks
:rotfl: :cool1:

We've tried a few times to get EoS at DTD but the line was always too long(we always end up at DTD at peak meal hours so that's probably why). Then one trip[ on the drive up from West Palm we noticed an EoS ad on the toll plaza sign, and now every trip on the way up DH stops at that rest stop and gets himself a Full Montagu! We are lucky duckys b/c we had one open up in our local mall a while back. Try to go at an off hour if you don't want a crazy wait~ !:goodvibes

We always go during peak meal hours too and one time we were well past the roped line corral, almost out the door, when we got in line... But we had our food in-hand in about 5-10 minutes. The line is very deceptive... It looks long, but the wait is shorter than most FP return lines.

Yeah, the line will totally fake you out... It moves so quick, the big problem at peak hours is finding a table to sit and eat at! ;)

We are looking for a place to eat other than TRex at DD... we just might have found a winner!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks everyone!!

and my sandwich was very good! I had the Italian on reconmmendation of a woman I shared a spot in line with and I would definitely order it again. The line was long but it moved quickly and the sttaff were all top notch!

The potato soup is delicious...so are the tomato and cream of broccoli soups! I didn't like the Earl Grey lemonade at all. It was kind of like a very sour iced tea. Never tried the Italian sandwich. I usually get the Original, my husband gets the Cannonball (meatball) and my sons like the All American. During the fall and through the holidays the Holiday sandwich with turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and gravy is fantastic!

It's been a couple years since we were at EoS, but I remember it only taking 10 minutes to get our order and we started just outside the door. If memory serves...the line was single file, but once you got close to the counter, their were numerous wait staff taking orders and you were ordering before you knew what you wanted. Sure glad we decided to wait in that long line!:thumbsup2

Sandwiches - Excellent !
Soups - Excellent !
Salads - outside of the Hollywood Brown Derby my wife has not been able to find a Cobb salad better or equal to the one at Earl.
There has been nothing that we have eaten there that we have not enjoyed !

Everything Earl has is good. The Cheddar soup is out of this world and their potato salad is probably the best I've ever had. You can't beat the prices anywhere.

I love the Hawaiian chicken, My wife loves the All American. the holiday one mentioned is great too! All of the soups are great, and as mentioned above, the lines are deceptive.
They take many discounts too.... AAA, DVC, Not sure on the AP.:thumbsup2

We have only eaten there once, and we are so mad we haven't eaten there before! The sandwiches and soups are amazing. We had a BLT and Holiday sandwich. The BLT was very good, but the Holiday sandwich was amazing. The holiday sandwich is only a limited time offer sandwich around the holidays though.

CURSES for going on our trips in January. I miss out on the holiday sandwich and my favorite part of Thanksgiving are the leftover turkey and cranberry and stuffing sandwiches!

Now I'm just sitting here thinking about EoS and how badly I want to go there right now.

I went for the first time on my last trip and LOVED it!! I got the tuna melt and my best friend got the original. Both were amazing and I second (or third or fourth) the PP about the line. It moves SO fast! I think I want to try the veggie next time...
