We were planning to fo to Earl of Sandwich while in DTD, but I realized I never even gave thought to Wolfgang Puck Express. Which would you choose for a quick bite and why? What would you order if you recommend WPE? (I've already posted asking for EoS suggestions...but feel free to add your suggestions here, too!)

My family went to both on our last trip. We loved Earl of sandwich but didn't like Wolfgang puck. Earl of sandwich was more casual and the food excellent. If you like tuna there tuna melt is to die for. Wolfgang puck was a little more should I say upscale and my kids weren't having it. I don't remember what we got but the bill was quite large and the kids ended up not even eating what they got. I remember not liking my meal and eating some of my kids pizza which they didn't like because it's not like your everyday pizza. We just don't have gourmet taste.

We have enjoyed both restaurants. It just depends on what you want at the time. Our favorite at Earl's is the Caprise sandwith ($4.95) and the chinese chicken salad ($6.95, I think). Wolfgang's is a little more expensive. Their chicken caeser is wonderful ($8.95) and my husband enjoys the margharita pizza ($8.95) Both have great cookies and other desserts. Maybe try one for lunch and the other for dinner. Have fun!! :goodvibes

We enjoyed Wolfgang Puck Express. The food was great, and the price was quite reasonable compared to other dining options at WDW.

We just got back and did eat at Earls. Everything was great! Our group tried the meatball sub, turkey sub and roast beef sub. All recieved a big :thumbsup2

EoS - The sandwiches are very, very good. I was pleasantly surprised. I had a tuna melt and it must have had 2 cans of tuna on it. I like the way they grill the outside of the bread. My DW had The Original - fresh roasted beef, cheddar and creamy horseradish sauce and DD had The Full Montagu - roast beef and turkey with cheddar and swiss cheese, romaine lettuce, tomato and English mustard sauce. All very good especially for $4.95. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We've eaten at both and they were both good! I like WPE slightly better and dh liked EoS slightly better.

I had a Thai pasta dish at WPE--very yummy! I also sampled a small slice of dd's pizza and it was good. Ds enjoyed his mac & cheese there, too.

I forget which sandwich I had at EoS. It was good, but I liked my Thai dish better than the sandwich.

You can't go wrong no matter which you choose. We prefer Wolfgang Express because there are so many more choices. We have tried several of their pizzas, chicken, mac & cheese, homemade potato chips, and desserts and loved everything except the creme burlee. We also like Earl's but it doesn't compare to Wolfgang's for our family.

Great thread! I've been trying to choose between the two for our arrival day as well! I was looking forward to WPE, but the EoD is sounding great! I wonder if they have anything that 5yo's would enjoy...not sandwiches! :confused3

They are both quite good but if you haven't been to either I would suggest Earl of Sandwich. I wouldn't have believed that it was as good as it is by the look of the place. It looks like a blah chain fast food place but man the sandwiches are good and huge! Inexpensive too.

Pucks is good too but a little more expensive. The pizza there is outstanding and I think we got a pasta dish that was good.

We were less than thrilled with our Earl of Sandwich experience. I know we are in the minority here but it did not come close to the raves I read on this wonderful restaurant board.

Next time, we will trying WP's Express!

Enjoy your dining experience no matter which you choose. :goodvibes

Is WPE the one in the bar area downstairs from the WP restaurant? We ate there in Jan and I had this unbelievable BBQ chicken pizza :goodvibes We just ate at the bar because it was late. Is this the same place or am I thinking of some other WP place?

There is a difference between Wolfgang Puck's and Wolfgang Puck's Express and we have eaten at both. While we loved Wolfgang Puck's, we found the Express horrible. We would NEVER go back. If I had to pick between Earl of Sandwich and WP Express, I would definately pick Earl of Sandwich.

I have only eaten at the Puck Express by Virgin and have always had wonderful experiences there (in fact I have found them to be much nicer and more accommodating then their more expensive Wolfgang Puck's Cafe). Excellent food and service. I also like Earl of Sandwich. Wolfgang Puck Express is a bit more expensive, but it also has a larger selection of food.
