Earl of Sandwich OR Wolfgang Puck Express

DH and I have gone to both EoS, and WPE. We really like EoS but WPE has its good points as well. I do have to agree with CR Resort Fan 4 Life, WPE can get rather expensive. The quality of food at both places is wonderful, but alot depends on what your family enjoys and what you are really in the mood for. EoS has great sandwiches, but if you don't really like places like Panera I would probably skip it. If you are a pizza/salad kinda family I would go to WPE. Enjoy either one you end up trying!!

Thank you all for your insight. It sounds like either is a good choice. I guess it will come down to what time we're there and which sounds better at the time. We're also on DDP but have to stretch it out due to early arrival and late departure days. Sounds like EoS would be a good OOP choice.

We were trying to make the same decision, but ultimately decided on WPE express because we are going to Disney Quest which is on the other side of DTD from EoS.

We'll be stopping by EoS right before we leave to use our last CS and get sandwiches for the road.

Wolfgang Pucks Express is located in Downtown Disney Marketplace, which is close to the Earl of Sandwich. You must be thinking of Wolfgang Pucks Cafe which is the full service restaurant that is located in Downtown Disney West Side, which is by Disney Quest.

There is also a Counter Service Wolfgang Pucks near Disney Quest. The Pizza and Lasagne are yummy. We visited 3 or 4 times on our last trip we got the Lasagne on our first visit but it was sold out on the other visits which was very disappointing for me!

We went to EOS for the first time our last trip a few days ago. And not 1 person liked it. There were 5 of us, and most not hard to please. Maybe we just went on an off day, but we didn't really care for it all.

There are 2 of them now, one in the Marketplace and one at Westside

I've never eaten at WPE, but we've eaten at EoS several times. We have NEVER been disappointed by the Earl. I had to convince my friend to eat there in Jan. Almost every night afterwards she talked about going to DTD just to go get a sandwich at the Earl! If you go, try the All American, it's my favorite!

EoS, EoS, EoS, it has become a staple during our vacation visits, and if I am not there once, I try to get there twice. Absolutely wonderful sandwiches, try the caprese.

We love the EoS! We tried it on our last trip and can't wait to go back! Food is deliscious and reasonably priced... for Disney.

Both are great! Our last trip WP had a shorter line so we chose it instead of EOS. :rotfl: The staff were very attentive and the food was great.

We went to WPE and have a really good dinner (I reviewed it in my dining report.) but we also really want to go to Earl of Sandwich.

BOTH!!! lol I would do both, but if you can't, I would say that your decision lies on what you feel like eating. Earl of Sandwhich has AWESOME sandwhiches, but that is basically all they offer. Wolfgang Puck i believe has more variety. They offer pizza, pasta, sanwhiches, salads, and a few entree-like choices. If you are a picky eater, I would stick with the Earl, they offer more "normal" choice of food. They are both very good, you can't go wrong with either choice. Good luck!

At EoS, can you ask for changes to be made on your sandwiches...with or without cheese, or without mayo...etc. Or can you do a made to order sandwich there?

EoS is flat out simply FOOD OF THE GODS!!!!! There is no sandwich in comparison....not even close.

WGP in Vegas was good but still not EoS.

I agree with you EOS was very good. We just got back Feb2nd and we had to go with EOS when we found out wolgang was closed for renovation. After we ate there we were not dissapointed at all. Huge sandwiches we could not eat it all. My husband had the triple cheese pannnini and I had my favorite sandwich bacon turkey and avocado. It is on the dining plan but I thought the prices were very reasonable. Our travel agent had suggested EOS to us . I am very glad she did. I thought the sandwich was better than SCIFI theatre and theirs cost a lot more.

If you are a pizza/salad kinda family I would skip WPE. Enjoy either one you end up trying!!
DH always gets a signature pizza & i get one of the incredible salads at WPE (both good enough to go back a few times every trip):confused3
