Earl of Sandwich....opening day????

Title says all. We have heard so many things about this place so we are hoping that it will be opened soon!! We go to DL Nov.14-18, any chance that it will be opened by then??

Also I read somewhere to join the birthday club to get a free sandwich, how long does it take to get the coupon? My birthday is Nov. 14th and our son's is Nov. 17th

I am here right now. It does not look like, at least from the outside it will open anytime soon. If I had to guess, and it's just a guess, no earlier than the week of Thanksgiving. Maybe later.

So... still not an exact date, but they are shooting for Early November!

Lets hope that means less than a month away. The dateline Disneyland article on miceage today makes it look promising. I hope so. I am tired of not only waiting but getting the weekly emails from my wife's uncle about how many times they went to Earl Vs. us cause they are in the middle of a long term stay in Ft. Wilderness.

So, on Sept 10 they said late Sept, about 2-3 weeks away. Now they say early-mid Oct, about 2-3 weeks away.

Translation: No progress

Now, in mid- to late- October, they're saying early November? About 2-3 weeks away

My family and I just returned from a 6 day stay at PPH. I did go by EoS a few times during our stay. There was usually a side door open where I could see into the Que area. I noticed they are now preparing the area where you get in line to place your food order. Looks like they are using short height bushes to seperate lines from one another. There were usually 6 + workers I could see getting the area from which you order ready. I would think there will be talbes placed near this area, although I did not see any at this time.

I was able to sneak a peek into the building. I am not in the construction business so can only give guess about progress. I would think EoS will open with in 10-14 days from what I could see as I passed by an open door. When ever the door to get into the work area was open a guard was always standing near the oepn door to keep curious guess out. *DARN*

I was so looking forward to getting a sandwich from EoS this trip.

The ice skating area did open to the public a day or two ago. I did see a few kids skating the other evening.

If wishing could help get EoS opened I would have been happy this last trip. I can only be happy knowing it will oepn soon and that a few Disers will post reviews of the food and service.

There is concrete reason to be optomistic about a grand opening soon.

The progression has been steadily moving along. Took a drive to DTD the other night and it ooks to be coming along nicely. Still have the majority of their walls up unfortunately.

The weekly DL Blog update on Touringplan.com has been saying the latest rumors are "by Thanksgiving."

Since we will be there right after Thanksgiving for my birthday, I joined the eclub just in case. I've never had an Earl of Sandwich before but the DIS has me all excited to try it.
