Earl of Sandwich at DS Closing?

Earl of Sandwich at DTD in California is closing. Is that maybe what you heard?

I think you're confused.
EOS at DTD in DLR has/is closing due to the construction of the new hotel and I assume although have not been following it much that it will re open or be relocated as its always hopping.

PHEW! Thank goodness, it's not WDW. Sorry for the folks out west though.

Actually, it would kind of figure that Earl of Sandwich in WDW would close. And it will be before September. That's because that's when I'm pkanning to have lunch there, the holiday turkey sandwich. I haven't eaten there before, and it would be just my luck!

Well, there are no worries that EOS at WDW will be closing. The DLR location will be, though it may relocate. No details on that yet. It has nothing to do with the level of business, so I'd imagine they will find somewhere to be.

There's an article on DIS about the closing and I believe it said both EOS and Rainforest will reopen in the new hotel's lobby.

I have heard that that is a possibility, but it will be years before they reopen if that's the case.

For people who really like Earl, just check out the Newark or Philadelphia airports or the rest stops in the DC-NY corridor. Amusing that you can put a below average fast food chain in DS and people go crazy for it.

I have been to both the one at WDW and one at a rest stop and there is no comparison. I was so excited to see one at a rest stop off of 95 only to be bitterly disappointed by the limited menu and low quality food. Hard to believe it is the same place at all.

In recent years I've only traveled 95 going north so haven't seen any EOS shops. On the other hand I know lots of non chain food shops and restaurants to eat at between NYC and Rhode Island that allow us to jump on and off the interstate with little time lost.

It is turnpike joint. It would not be a loss (subjective I grant y'all). But really a turnpike joint.
