Anyone one know of somewhere either in WDW or Downtown Disney to have a youg girls ears pierced?

I am not aware of any place that does that on WDW property. Hopefully someone will know for sure.

I have never seen ear piercing on property. Just temporary tatoos, hair wraps and caricatures.

This has come up before and the answer I've always seen was no.

Some things to think about:
Newly pierced ears need to be cleaned several times a day. WDW might not be the best place to remember to do this.
Also, when my DD's got their ears pierced the last few times (more than one piercing in each ear), one of the other things they were told was not to swim for several weeks.
I don't have a link, but you might want to look up webpages for some places that do piercing like Claire's or Piercing Pagoda to check out their information for newly pierced ears.

What some people have done instead of getting the ears pierced at WDW, was to get them pierced long enough before going that you could pick out some cool new earrings at WDW and be able to wear them right away (you can't change newly pierced earrings until quite a few weeks after, to give the ears a chance to heal).

As of last December not a single place in WDW did ear piercing. My DD had her ears pierced a few weeks before we left. WHile we were at WDW one of the earrings came out and got lost. All I wanted was to purchase a set of piercing studs so I could replace the one she lost. The CM at the jewelry store on Mainstreet called all over for me and was unable to find anywhere that does it.

Great advice! It is actually my friend who wants to get her daughters ears pierced in WDW this Nov per her DD5's request.

We just had my DD5's ears pierced this week so that she could get earings in Disney!!! We can't wait!!

I'll pass along this wonderful advice.

Thanks!

Beware of the cheapie Disney nickel earrings. I would stick with 14K gold posts at least for the first year.

Thanks for the tip! I really don't want my DD's ears to get infected. :flower:

Or surgical steel.
I can only wear gold or surgical steel (and my ears have been pierced a lot longer than a year). Sometimes the problem is the backs of the earrings. The posts might be out of steel or gold, but the cheapie posts are not. You can buy replacement backs that take care of that problem.

Just my .02 ,but you might try www.simplywhispers.com for inexpensive allergy free earrings for your little one. My dd's never had any problem with allergies, but I bought several pairs from here because I never wanted to take the chance. Go to the Earring section and then the gold, silver or color petites and they have cute earrings for little girls. :flower:
