I would like the Germany ear hat when I go in a week and a half. Is that something I can buy at Disneyland or is it just at Epcot? Wondering if I should order it online...

Thanks for any answers.

I don't recall seeing those hats at Disneyland, anywhere, including on anyone's head. Ordering it on line would be a good idea. Maybe you can find it new at a great price on E-bay.

I've never seen any country related earhats like that in DL, so I would assume getting it online beforehand is a much safer bet.

I know that set was for sale at Disney store online back in October under the park merchandise section. I also saw someone wearing this set while I was at DLR in mid November. Not sure where the wearer bought them. I never saw them in the park for sale.

Was that someone in your tour group for the Christmas Tour by any chance?
Let me introduce myself: I am that someone.

By the time I had figured out it was you the parade had started and afterwards I didn't find you anymore, so I couldn't introduce myself back then.

The Germany ear hats are definitely not on sale at Disneyland. They are only available at Epcot and were online for a while, not sure if they're still available on the Disney Store website.

A friend of mine got them for me at Epcot and mailed them to Disneyland as an early Christmas gift. I got a lot of comments for sure and a lot of people asked me where I got them. Even Santa in DCA loved them and called them "the ears of wunderbar".

I think someone stopped me every three steps. My friends already suggested pinning a note "these are from Epcot!" to the hat. :rolleyes1

That was you!! I remembered afterward that I was supposed to have a dis'er in my tour group and then thought maybe they ended up in a different group! Bummer! I wish I had introduced myself. My nephew was on a mission to be the most ill behaved child at Disneyland that day, so I was mortified anyway! Of course we ended up in the group with no other children!! LOL

According to the article that I had linked in my pp, it sounded anyway, like they might be available at Dl. But again, I have never seen these for sale there, nor on anyone's head either. Now, If I had seen Vala, then she would have been the exception. :)

Oh trust me, compared to some other kids I met your nephew was very well behaved. I noticed he kept you busy and was wondering if he was happy, but there was really no reason to be mortified.

I was on the lookout for you, but as there were some others with kids in the other tour groups I really didn't want to just jump on you asking if you were from Disboards, especially because you had your attention focused on your nephew. With that scooter I wasn't going to do much jumping anyway. ;) I was only reasonably sure at parade time, and after that I had most of my attention elsewhere, namely not getting crushed by the stampede to Small World. That's probably why I didn't find you.

I did consider going out in front and yelling "Where are the dis'ers?" when we took the parade seating, but then the CM ceremony started.

Yep! Thats the hat!! It combines 2 of my favorite things, Disney & my heritage.

I ended up ordering it online and it should be arriving today. Thanks for the advice.
