We have not had this at ToT, but had a similar experience at Wishes with loud exaggerated Oooohs and AAaaahs with each firework, no matter how large or small. Entire group of about 12, fake ooohing. Makes me feel ridiculous, but it really bothered me.![]()
Ugh. I took my daughter on Haunted Mansion in December. She was 4 months short of turning 3 when we went and she absolutely loved it the first two times we went on it. Then, the third time, we were in the stretching room with a screamer. As soon as the lights went out, she screamed at the top of her lungs. Her friends laughed and joined in. So we are in this dark room was 3-4 girls screaming like banshees. Then one yells, "We're all going to die!" My daughter got scared and started crying. A cast member told us that if she was too afraid, we could exit. I explained that she had ridden it twice before and requested it this time, but that those girls had really scared her. She apologized and said that they had ridden it multiple times that day and they had received numerous complaints.![]()
I don't think human behavior has changed necessarily. It seems to me that people are just getting less tolerant of other people.

I have gone to Disney since 1989, there are definitely more people screaming to be funny than before. Why should most of the group tolerate one person or a few people acting stupid?

They are screaming because they are having fun on a ride. Nothing can be done about it. I would suggest avoiding places where there will be screaming, if it bothers you. Not trying to be insensitive but as we get older, we become less tolerant of things that were once minor annoyances. This is probably what is happening here.
I disagree. I was a teen not that long ago and would have NEVER dreamed of doing much of the stuff I see kids doing today that is just plain rude. I don't think they are being taught as much care and consideration for others as in the past. We are becoming too much of a "me" society and not being taught to be considerate of others so rudeness is multiplying, AND people are less likely to give someone who truly needs it a little leeway. Little kids screaming becuase they are scared doesn't bother me, but teens purposely trying to scare as many little kids as possible is unacceptable. I refuse to be "tolerant" of that kind of behavior. I am perfectly willing to tolerate the little kid melting down on a ride, at dinner, ect but not behavior that is designed to purposely infringe on the enjoyment of others.
LIGHTEN UP PEOPLE!!! Please don't let the wussification of America infect Disney.

Are some of you reading your own posts? Complaining about screaming on thrill rides and oohing and ahhhing over fireworks? Is this a joke thread?
