So, I'm sitting here with our tickets in my cart on the Disneyland website, and I'm not sure whether to do e-tickets or not. If these are lost before we get there, are they replaceable if I have the ticket numbers? I don't plan on losing them but you never know...Does it take very long to pick up the tickets at Will Call once we get there? We will be with extended family and I don't want to hold everyone up unnecessarily.

Thanks!

I have never done either before and had the same debate over the last couple days. After reading the posts here about how easy it is to use the e-tickets at the turnstiles I got e-tickets this morning. DLR e-mails you a PDF file and you can print it is many times as you like (to make backups or whatever). It appears that the first time the e-ticket gets scanned then that locks it out so the only real danger is if you lose your e-ticket and someone else tries to use it. If you just lose it at home, for example, you can print it again. HTH. :)

We used etickets two weeks ago and they were great! We just printed out the PDF file and took it to the entry turnstiles - they scanned each individual ticket and printed out a hard copy for us to use for Fast Passes and for the rest of our visit. So easy.

We didn't print multiple copies, but my I kept the email in my folder, forwarded a copy to my husband, and then put a copy on my husband's laptop as well, so if we lost the copies we had made we could reprint them easily.

I don't know about Will-Call, but I wouldn't want to stand in an additional line if it's not necessary. The etickets really were easy!

Good luck and have fun!

We were impressed with the ease of use with the e-ticket. I did actually print them more than once. I wanted a set for in my scrapbook and the first ones didn't print well due to low ink.

It was fast and easy at the ticket booth too. They took our papers, scanned them and it spit out a ticket.

We have done e-tickets before and it's just as easy as everyone else says. I don't really have anything else to add to what was already said but just wanted to let you know about another e-ticket success story.

e-tickets! So easy!!!!

You get an email. That email has a PDF in it. Print the PDF. Keep the email in your email account! If it's sent to something not web-based (like outlook) and you are not taking your own computer, send that email with the PDF to your hotmail/gmail/yahoo/whatever email address so you can access it from ANY computer.

So if you lose your printed voucher, you can just hop onto a computer, access your email, print it out again, and you're fine.

With the e-ticket, assuming you're buying from disneyland.com (that's not really for the OP but for others considering other sites that sell electronic vouchers), you take that printout up to the turnstiles, just right up to the CM at the gate, they'll scan it and a ticket will print for you immediately. SO easy.

Another thumbs up for e-tickets! :thumbsup2 We've used it too. You do not want to go to the ticket booth when you could be in line at the gate. :)

Yet another vote for e-tickets :thumbsup2 My brother decided to join us at the last minute and I got him an e-ticket. I was a little concerned because we entered the park on the Monorail the first day..but it was no problem. They scanned the printed email and gave him his ticket there. Super easy!

I also found e-tickets to be extremely easy to use. Even if you do lose them before your trip, you can just print out another copy.

Okay, I just wanted to say that I LOVE this site!!! :lovestruc Once again, I have learned valuable info that I can really use! We are arriving in the afternoon of our first day in the parks & I really did not want to wait at the ticket booths & THEN at the turnstyles. I know that we are just going to be chomping at the bit to get in there! lol
I do believe that I am going to get the last of the parkhoppers (etickets) for our party today seeing as the exchange rate is pretty darn good. :woohoo:
Thanks guys!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2

Are the tickets you exchange for made of hard paper or more like the plastic souvie tickets.

They are paper (cardstock) tickets that you get.

Also, you can't buy one day/one park tickets online. Just thought I would add that in case it applied to anyone.

Good addition.

And for anyone reading who might need a one day...get to the esplanade EARLY and head to the ticket booths on the Harbor side. Not as many people over there!

E-Ticket all the way... Really easy to use.. you do get paper tickets in exchange but not as cool as the plastic ones but it saves you time!!

But to clarify futher- you can get one day park hopper tickets online, you just can't get it for only one park. It has to be a one day park hopper. We used e-tickets for our one day park hoppers for the boys in Jan.

No doubt about it...do E-ticket! My friend bought her ticket through AAA and had it sent to will call. I could have beat her to death with a churro!!!
We had to wait in the will call line about 40 minutes for her to get her ticket before we could enter the park! She won't do that again!

We did this, exactly. The kids were just dancing around as we went through security, they were so excited, so it was nice to just walk up to the turnstiles and head into the parks.

Have a great time!

:rotfl2: I can just picture someone being repeatedly hit over the head with a churro! :rotfl:

I went with the e-ticket as during the purchasing process it states that the purchaser is responsible for customs, duty, etc. If that is true, I'm not paying duty. That's crazy. The exchange rate is enough.

I think I will print another copy off on acid-free paper and will put it in our scrapbook.

Just FYI, even if you lose your eTicket email, you can still go to Will Call and pick up your tickets. I was so tired I typed in the wrong address for our eTickets...I called them and emailed and there was no way for them to change the address they sent to, but you can print out your receipt (or I believe just take the credit card the tickets were charged to) and go to Will Call. That's a huge inconvenience if you're arriving to go to the park early in the morning, but we got in well before closing time on Friday evening. We didn't have a wait to get to the ticket window, but it was probably a 15-20 minute process or so to get the actual tickets. That was annoying, but it was my own fault for typing the wrong email.

So you might as well do eTicket--you can always use Will Call later if you want. :)
