E-Ride Question

Looks like taking in an E-Ride night will help solve my itinerary conflicts. But I have a couple of specific questions that I can't find a clear answer on in the boards, or on this site, or on Deb's site either.

First, I know we have to be a resort guest (we will be - Swan). Also, we have to have hopper-type passes (we will), and that a day has to be used to get the E-ride pass. That is, you can't get an E-ride pass without using a day on the pass.

First question: Do you have to use it at MK? For example - can we use our hopper day at Epcot, see Illuminations, then go over to MK (it will be after closing by then) and still get in and get a bracelet?

Second - What if we didn't do any Disney Parks at all that day? Could we get into MK (even after offical closing time), using up a hopper day, and still get in to get a bracelet?

Last question: when do they stop giving out bracelets? Let's say MK closes at 9:30, but we don't get there until 10:30. Still two more hours, and it should still be worth it. Would we be able to get bracelets that late?

Any help on those three questions would be greatly appreciated. I know people will have opinions like "just go to MK that night" or "why go to E-ride night for just 2 hours". I'm not saying we're definitely only going to MK for E-ride that day, but I just want to see if that is even an option. There are a couple reasons we would consider this: trying to get in a lot in a limited time, and also not everyone in our party will want to go to MK for Space, Splash, etc. So I'm just trying to consider all our options.

Thanks.

1) You can go to any park during the day, then hop over to MK for E-night

2) You have to go to a park that day. If you don't want to spend the day at a park, arrive at MK well before closing and make that your park for the day. Then, get your wristband at closing.

3) You can go at any time. Last time I went, it was about 10:30pm. Had a GREAT time!!

Enjoy! E-night is terrific. :)

We did not go to the MK on the day of our e-night until closing time. I asked if we would be able to get in after the park officially closes, as we had ressies at Boma. They said, "No problem" and that we could get the bands until 9:00. E-night began at 7:00 that night.

We got there at 7:00, had no problem getting in and had to wait a few minutes before we could get our bands.

Personally, I would recommend getting there just before the park closes to optimize your time with the bands. Crowds do happen, but not like you would find on a regular day.

have fun

The easiest way to think of it is that your E-night ticket doesn't get you into the park. Once you use your regular multi-day ticket to get past the turnstiles you then exchange your E-night ticket for a wristband. All the E-night ticket does is allow you to remain in the park past the normal closing time. You don't even have to present it at the front gate (unless perhaps you show up past normal close time).

I agree that it's better to get your band ahead of time, but if you show up close to the start of E-night and there's a crowd at the City Hall exchange point, remember that there's also exchange points at the Tomorrowland arcade and the photo counter at Splash Mtn. That saved us a bunch of time once.

I guess my question is can I use my multi-day park ticket to get me past the turnstiles if the park has officially closed (that is, after E-Ride night has started)? The responses from Cleo and letfuller seem to say "yes".

But I'm still not clear on one thing: if I didn't go to a park before E-ride started, would I still be able to get in? I'm sure we won't do that, because it's a waste of a day's ticket, only using it for e-night (making it cost $12 plus about $50 for one day of a multi-day ticket). I just want to know if it is allowed.

Sorry for repeating myself - I would just hate to get there and be turned away, especially after spending $12 per person.

Yes... Your E-night ticket is not good for park admission. You'd use your regular park hopper to get in even if the park is closed. The only reason I mentioned the E-night ticket when entering after the close is you may need to flash it at the CM at the gate as you use your regular ticket in the turnstile. The reason being that it's no good to let you into the park if you don't have an E-ticket. I'm not even sure there's any information encoded on the E-night tickets. They don't scan them when you do the exchange, they only collect them and glance at them to make sure the current date is printed on it.
