We will be in WDW May 27 - June 3 and are considering going to the MK E-Ride night on May 30. I've heard that it can be quite crowded and am wondering what other's have experienced with respect to E-Ride night. I think it would be a great experience for my two kids (DD 8 & DS 7). It looks like MK will be closed at 7:00 on May 30 so this would work for us. What are your thoughts?

Thanks!

One word - GO!!!! You will not regret it. We went to an E night in June and it was wonderful. No waits on most attractions, and very, very minimal waits on others. I think the longest wait we had was about 5 minutes for Space Mountain. We rode Splash over and over without getting back in line. It was like a dream come true. Best money we ever spent in the World.

You have to do it.:D

Dittos.... I've never heard of major crowding on E-Nights.

I agree, E-nights are great. One word of caution...the lines at any open restaurants/refreshment stands are usually long. Make sure you eat dinner prior to E-night.

We went to the e-ride on the 17th, but had spent a majority of the day at MGM so I have no clue how busy it was then. We came over about 7:30 PM, ate dinner, did FantasyLand with barely any wait, since we skipped the SpectroMagic parade (we will see it in August) and just watched the fireworks from in front of the Country Bears jamboree. It really was not busy at all. I believe BUzz had a wait time of 1 minute for the entire time we were over there. The longest wait was Space Mountain since only one side was open. That wait was about 5 minutes long. It really was not busy at all. If you follow the strategy of walking away from the big groups of people, you should see no waits at all.

We have been to many Enights at all different times of year and have never experienced crowds or long wait times. It's absolutely the best way to experience the "biggies" at MK!

Everyone, thanks for the replies! I think we will hit the May 30th E-Ride night. Sounds like a good time. I'm sure my kids will get a big kick out of the 'special' event.

Thanks again!

Questions:confused:
1)I thought Fantasy Land was closed during E-nights?
2)Is there Spectro & FITS during E-nights if it's not on the regular schedule?

Thanks!

We've been to e-nights that were empty and e-nights that seemed worse than regular day. I remember one in particular where we could barely walk around in Tomorrowland - it was wall to wall strollers and people.

I think it just depends on the luck of the draw. I wouldn't let it stop me from going, but I would be prepared to spend the money and not stay very long - just in case. More than likely you will be fine, but just wanted to make a note that some e-nights are uncomfortable.

FantasyLand is closed during the eride. We hit it during the SpectroMagic parade when everyone else was watching that, before the park actually closes.

Spectro and FITS are not exclusive to e-ride nights. If they are not on the schedule, they most likely will not occur, unless for some reason the powers that be decide that they should run them after all. Despite the websites and all the changes, the hours still change and so do some of the scheduled events.

I've reads some discussions comparing the crowds on either Tues E-nite or Fri E-nite. We will have the option of choosing one, however I can't remember if one has a lesser attendence. Please offer advice...
Thanks!

E-Ride night is great and must do. Splash mountain and Big Thunder Mountain are different in the dark - I think they are much more scary as you can't see anything. Slash Mountain is espically great at night - wonderful views of the castle lit up and you cannot see the big drop - WHOA that's fun!

Could someone tell me how far in advance they decide when the E-ride nights take place?

We did E-ride on 5/17 and the only ride witrh a wait was Space Mountain, about 5 mins each trip. Otherwise all of the other rides were walk-ons.

Don't miss it!!! And bring snacks as food choices are limited to whatever the open stand has left over.

It seems like it's luck of the draw with crowds at e-night. My DD and I went to one last minue last night and we were extremely surprised that it wasn't crowded at all. Especially with it being a Sat. night with Spectro and fireworks as well.

we have been to many e-ride nights during our past trips and i have never seen it nearly crowded...i think the longest we have ever waited was maybe 10 minutes for splash mountain one night...most rides during our visits have been walk-ons...
disney is offering 3 e-ride nights during our stay and we will be attending each one....
have fun!!!

We went to two this past August. The first one was wonderful! It really was like having the park to ourselves. The second one, which fell on a Tuesday was chaos. We barely stayed over an hour because the waits were just as long as during the day--I have never seen it that packed. But that said, I have done enight 8 times and I only once experienced a horde of people. Definetly try it!
