does anyone know if they usually have any e ride nights in sept. I believe the parks close at 6:00 so we were hoping maybe we could get lucky one night, I think the parks are the best at night with the lights on.

Since 9/11, there have been no e-nights in September. I have heard some people hoping for some this year due to a special package deal Disney has going on at that time, hopefully improving attendance. We've been there the last three years, and the crowds are extremely low. Don't count on it.

I was hoping for an eRide night in Sept for our first visit <so excited, lol>. Then I started thinking after seeing the park hours. If the MK stays open on Sat. nights until 9pm what is the point in paying for eRide tickets (pending their is one)? I know Saturdays are busy and all so maybe that is my answer right there.

If the park is open until 9 on a Sat. my thoughts are I would rather channel the cost of 2 eRide tickets (60.00?) to a fantastic meal. Then again, DH and I arent really "ride riders", we prefer to see the attractions and just walk (although we like a few rides)

We started planning this trip about one week ago (09/07 - 09/14) and since then I have been reading, taking notes and printing out tips like crazy. I already have a binder of info going. Tomorrow I have to get my car serviced and realized there is a Barnes & Noble across from the garage. Desite my long list of errands and to-do's my first thought was to get some Disney books while I wait for the car. <shaking head> I think I have gone nuts!

2 e-night tickets for 2 adults should be about $25.00. Originally e-nights were for the off season - to give guests a chance to see the parks afer dark since the off season hours were shorter, but like the other poster said haven't had any in the off season since 9/11 until recently they've made a small comeback. Hard to say if they'll be any different this fall or not.

We'll be there 9/1-9/8. AFTER I bought airfare and booked I found out the "Nights of Joy" will be at MK Friday and Sat, 9/5 & 9/6. So there goes our chance to see MK after dark or Spectro or FITS.

I hope, I hope they would do an E night Tuesday 9/2!

I even sent a note off to Disney to say thanks for Fairytale package and mainly to beg that they consider an E night in Sept.

We've only been able to do one E night in 4 years. I'M DUE!

Now I feel more confused than ever (what else is new, LOL).

eNights (duh, I have been calling them eRides).

When do we get to find out the fall schedule? I am still having a hard time understanding why this is such a big happening when the MK is open until 9 on Sat. If it is open until 9 wont we get to see the park all lit up? When open until 9 do all the rides/attrations/shops and eating venues stay open that late?

I am so glad I have a few months to plan... it seems WDS is not a trip you can wing it on unless you are an expert.

It is very rare that MK is open until 9:00pm during September, after labor day weekend. Historically it closes at 6:00 or 7:00 if you are lucky. It does get dark earlier, but there is just something about being on Main Street later at night. And I love riding Slash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain at night.
When we went in '99 I think the e-night was 7-11.
the cost is $12.00 per person now, it was $11 when we went, but to me it is well worth the cost.

Thanks HelenK!

I dont know why I thought the tickets were 30.00 per person, 12.00 pp is very reasonable. I also thought I read that on Sat. the MK was open until 9 (even in early Sept). I must have mis-read.

I guess we will just have to keep our eye out on the schedule and also ask about it when we check in. If they decide to do a last minute eNight do they post it in the resorts so you are aware?
