I was at DW and staying at CBR. When we were checking in on Monday, May 5, we asked to buy our e-night tickets for the following Saturday night, May 10, and she said they were sold out! We were VERY upset. I never saw anything about this on the boards. Was she right?

I guess what I find hard to believe about this being sold out is that it was 6 days in advance. I heard they rarely sell out and if you can't buy them before you check in at your resort there must have been an awful lot of people there for extended stays at that time.

We were there for the May 10th enight. I think we got our tickets on Tuesday at. I can't believe that it was sold out that night. If it sold out - most people didn't show up or left early because it was empty - maybe 1000 people.

We've been to crowded enights before all though I don't believe any had techinically sold out, but this particular night was empty.

Since tickets are limited to 5000 there is easily a chance that it will sell out, but its never happened during one of our visits and it definitely was not the case for May 10th. We purchased our tickets May 6th.

Oh my gosh....now I am getting angry!!! The girl was trying to purchase the e-night tickets through the computer when we were checking in. It was not working, so she went in the back to ask her manager, and came back and said it was sold out! She said the hotels were booked 100%, and that it was extremely crowded. When we were in the parks, we understood! There were a bunch of school groups, so we just figured they had bought all of them. I remembered reading on this board that they never sell out. I am really mad at myself for not double checking with someone else and now I don't know what to do I am sooooo angry!!!

We found that to be a very strange week at WDW. So many senior trips and class trips of all ages. The resorts did seem to be full - we visited several and stayed at 2 during our trip (were there from May4-12). The pools were especially crowded during the afternoons as it was sooooo hot!

But aside from the nightmare that was Tuesday at May 6th at MK we didn't have hardly any wait on anything at any park. Most everything was walk up or a 10 minute wait. I think we were in line for Dinosaur for a while, but found out later that it had broken down.

I am sorry that happened to you.

She was wrong. My DS was at WDW May 10th and bought his e night ticket that very evening. He said MK was not crowded at all. He is very familar with e nights and has seen much busier e nights in the past. I'm sorry you missed out. That CM was misinformed!

It could be that the computer would not let her pull the tickets up because they are sold only so many days in advance and they presumed it was because they were sold out..

I would contact WDW and let them know that you got incorrect information. Perhaps they need to review some of their training to ensure that everyone at the check-in desk knows how to handle these situations.

Other than that, I wouldn't worry about it. It's a shame that you didn't get to go, but I wouldn't dwell on it and let it take away the good memories you have from the trip. Things don't always work out perfectly, but as long as you had a good time and got to ride everything that you wanted to ride, the trip was a success!!

Yeah, don't stress about it. Enights are nothing more than more money for the same rides you pay for during the day. I've had less waits by just doing an EMH morning.

I'm sorry to hear you had problems Kelly. Does anyone know how early you can buy E night tickets?

Brian, I'm not a morning person so I'm very willing to pay extra to be at the MK during my awake hours. Doing a EMH's for me just means I'm grumpy and sleepy(along with a few other dwarves) all day long. I'd much rather be up and riding the rides at midnight instead of noon.

You said you wanted tickets for Saturday, May 11, but the e-night was Friday, May 10. Maybe that contributed to her problem getting you tickets. But it does not excuse them telling you it was sold out.

Oops. No, my mistake. We left on Sunday, May 11, but she told us about the e-night for Saturday, May 10, which we were planning on doing anyway.
Maybe it was just too early to buy them and she wasn't well trained?
