E-Night question

It has been a while since I have been to an e-night and I can not remember if you have to be a guest in MK the same day or if you can just go at park closing with the enight ticket.
The last time we went, e-night happened to be on our scheduled day at MK so we were already there.

Yo have to have park hopper passes and be an onsite Disney guest. However, I don't believe there have been any scheduled so far for this year.

You do have to use a day on your park hopper ticket to get into the park, no matter what time you arrive at the MK.

You can have any multi-day pass for entry, including APs, but as sm4987 writes, you must be resort guest. Here's hoping we see some E-Ride nights soon.
