There were many things wrong with our room at BWV a few weeks ago. Washing machine was broken and stove had a huge crack going across the top. The bathroom had not been cleaned good - there was a used dental floss pick on the floor. Peanuts were on the floor in front of the washing machine. The manager was great and fixed everthing for us. Should I send DVC an e-mail to let them know about these things or just hope it was a one time thing and forget about it? I do not want anything, just don't want it to happen again to me or anyone else. We had a great trip, I was just surprised with the poor condition of the room when we checked in. If so who do I e-mail?

Hopefully, you did the MOST important thing you could have done -- notify the resort management immediately while you were there. Otherwise they have no way of knowing about the problem until they get feedback through the corporate office days or weeks later.

You'd think DVC housekeeping supervisors would spot-check rooms when the mousekeeper says they're ready, but I don't know if they do. And even if they do, they're sure to miss some issues.

Do as bill says!

They can not fix problems that they do not know exist. A Cracked stove is a problem!

And the other things are housekeeping that is so poor, it sounds as if someone should be unemployed.

Thanks. I will email and let them know. The manager was great. He had the washing machine fixed the first night. It took about three days to replace the top of the stove but i guess they needed to track down a new top. I was just so shocked that mousekeeping never let anyone know the appliances were broken. The stove looked like someone dropped something out of the microwave. There was a hole and then big cracks coming out of it. You couldn't miss it if you were in the kitchen!

IMO this should never happen, you pay to go on vacation, not to be inconvenienced with room problems.

The manager would be even greater if they had fixed the problems before you were given the room.

I am sorry that this happened to you.
