I just got an e-mail pin offer for Fall! Here are the details...not sure what resorts it can be used at but it quotes 6 nights, 7 days at a value w/ tickets less than $1350 2 adult, 1 junior, 1 child...

"What a great time to be a part of the Walt Disney World® magic. Enjoy great events taking place at various times this Fall like the Epcot® International Food & Wine Festival or the Yuletide splendor of Magical Holidays.

Price based on 2 adults, 1 junior, 1 child occupying one standard room.
This Magic Your Way Package includes:

6 nights at select Disney Value Resorts
You’ll enjoy great resort benefits like Extra Magic Hours–each day one of the Theme Parks is open extra time to enjoy select attractions (valid Theme Park admission and Resort ID required).

7-day Theme Park admission
This ticket gives you admission to one of the four Walt Disney World Theme Parks per day. Tickets are nontransferable and must be used within 14 days of first use.

*Rate available for stays between November 1 and November 18 and between November 27 and December 25, 2005. The number of packages available at this rate is limited. No group rates or other discounts apply. Offer is nontransferable. Advance reservations required. "

So now I am doing the math & for the value season that doesn't seem like any savings? I came up with $1250 for a value resort plus MYW non hoppers...

I am thinking that is just a basic package, no pin deal or codes.

6 nights at a value is 462 before tax (77 a night x 6)
7 day base ticket is 757 (considering 3 adult tickets and 1 child) before tax.

If you include tax on everything (figuring all star resort tax) that would total around 1328. If you made them 7 day hoppers the total would be 1432.

That's what I thought...but it came with a pin number and said that the reservations were limited...

Okay...just called Disney and they don't have the code in the system yet and the person suggested I call back tomorrow...

This would be a savings for the dates in November BEFORE Thanksgiving since those are now considered regular season ($99 / night).

The dates after Thanksgiving do not appear to have any savings since those are value season.

It may be that Disney is going to offer 'value' season rates before Thanksgiving through this PIN email offer. The part that really stinks is that these dates (November 1-18) were ALWAYS value season until this year.

Oh... I didn't get an email with the PIN. Never do.

Yes, possibly because 6 nights at value for stays Nov 1- 18 would be 594 + 757 for the 7 day base ticket is 1351 before tax.

That really is pretty lame to send something that claims to be a limited offer when it is the regular rate for at least some of the dates specified:(
Oh well, I forwarded it to my DU agent to see if they could do anything with it for me but I am not as excited as I was when it first arrived and I jumped up and down going, "I finally got a pin! I finally got a pin!"

An email offer from Disney World -- finally, right here in my mailbox. PIN code and everything..... :cool1:

Then I do the math for my travel dates (first week in December), and it's not much of a savings.... :confused3

This stinks!

I got thos email as well. Our trip is planned Dec. 16-22 at AKL, I wonder if the PIN is valid at deluxe as well. :confused3
I guess I'll call and see what they quote me - it can't hurt to try.

Yes, we are booked Nov. 10-20 at $99.00 a night so that would be a small discount if it were for that time frame. Boy I sure do wish all of Nov. was still Value!!!

Grrr!!
Well, I called and the code is valid for Deluxe, but for our Dec. travel dates, the price is the exact same quote I get from the website!
Why bother to send out a "PIN code" for regular rates. That really stinks! It took awhile for the code to even come up, and then its worth nothing. :( Not very nice...

Why am I getting this SINKING FEELING that this is going to be Disney's 'offer' for the remainder of the year?

Let's see.... (Disney) - LWe can offer the general public a 'discount' for the first 18 days of November and we'll make it the rate they would have paid if we didn't change this time of year from value to regular season.

Then... We'll confuse them by blacking out the days right around Thanksgiving to make them think they are getting a heck of a deal.

Finally... If we include some December dates all the way to Christmas, surely our loyal customers won't realize these prices are exactly the same they could get just by calling without the special offer codes.

What a great marketing plan! Sign me up!

Ughhhhhhhhh... I know they don't have to offer general public discounts at any time of the year. It's just frustrating when they do things like this that confuse people into thinking they are getting something they are really not getting.

I totally agree! :sad2:

I just did a package as this described. I honestly don't think its a special deal. I think its just a randomly generated email we sometimes get made to look like a deal. I am thinking this is the price before tax is applied.

Because after tax if you stay 6 nights at All Stars, 7 day base ticket with tax for Nov 1-7 your price is 1481.39. That would be a savings of 131.39. IF this is the quote with tax (which I doubt).

If you stay Nov 27 - Dec 3 then your price is 1413.39 which would be a savings of 63.39. Again IF the "less than 1350" is quoted with tax.

I just called to see if the PIN would save us anything - we have a package booked through AAA for Poly in December - I believe the price I was quoted with the PIN was the exactly the same as it would have been without if we had booked through Disney. Although, it really maybe is only applying to Value Resorts. With AAA we are saving $400 over what I was just quoted with the PIN promotion. sigh

We have had ads running here for thsat deal. It was only the value resorts however and I do believe it listed only value season as well.

This was the case for us as well. We're at AKL in Dec., and our AAA discount is over $400 better than what I was quoted with this code.
Of course then I had to try the website and see - the quote wasn't discounted at all, its the same rate anyone can get. The online rates matched, down to the cent.

I didn't get the e-mail, but the commercial is running is Wisconsin. You have to remember there are a lot of people that have no clue about anything WDW.

My sister last spring saw the commercial when they were basically promoting the same package and she called her travel agent and booked the package.

When I talked to her, she had no clue you could buy your tickets, hotel and everything else seperate or that you could call CRO yourself.

I think WDW is trying to grab the unknown public like my sister and make them think they are getting a great package deal.
