DxDP question

We are a party of 4, all on the DxDP. If we are all dining together, can some of us pay with credits and some pay with a DVC discount? Does that complicate things too much for the server? We have Yachtsman scheduled which requires 2 credits, and I know 2 (or 3) of us will not spend enough to get our 2 credits worth. I was thinking those of us who order lighter there could pay out of pocket and save 4 credits for all of us to use elsewhere for another meal. Any advice?
