i thought I had this down, but I think I made a mistake.

Credits are counted from check in to midnight check out, is that correct?
We have 14 nights/15 days, so we would have 42 credits, is that correct?

Ok here is where I just can not figure it out, we are staying at five different DVC's

WLV 3 nights
BLT 3 nights
BWV 2 nights
AKL 3 nights
POLY 3 nights

So in credits that would be 9, 9, 6, 9, and 9. Is that correct? If this is correct, I have the right amount of credits, but it will not work out, because some will expire at midnight and not be able to work? I have 27 days to change them, and I'm not sure I can now? Does any of this make sense because I keep thinking I am over thinking it, but it does not work right.

Can you list your TS meals per day. That is the only way I could help.

An example would be: (insert your dining pref. Times, meals you've planned. Just write out each portion like this. Hopefully it will help)

Day one: 1 TS entitlement.
Day 2: brunch 1 TS, signature dinner 2 TS
Day 3: TS breakfast, TS lunch, TS dinner
Day 4: checkout of WLV, check into BLT, go to lunch at CRT 2 TS
All entitlements used, start new dining plan with dinner for your BLT portion of the trip.

You can do this for each section of your trip by knowing you have 3 credits per person per night, to see if it works out.

Just a reminder, your snack credits expire at midnight also.

How many people are in your party for us to tell us if it's correct or not?

Also, which dining plan are you on?

Finally, if it's just total meal credits regardless of if it's quick service or table service, it will be 2 credits per person per night. So as you're there for 14 nights, you'll have 28 credits per person for your stay

I agree- this would be most helpful since you are moving around quite a bit. We are doing a split stay and trying to make sure our meals match up as well. I went through and listed all the meals, and I know on moving day I need to make sure that our credits get used up before the new plan goes into effect (we are moving from DxDDP to regular for the 2nd part of the stay) because I have the meals planned out based on that.

I would recommend not only listing the meals and seeing if the math works ( so like it is listed above, including when you move), but then actually checking in and out of your hotels at the desk to make sure the meals either get carried over or you know how to tell the restaurants to process them. The plan for each section runs from midnight of your check-in day to midnight the day you check out- it actually "lasts" for 4 days if you have a 3 night reservation. You only have 3 credits per person for your 3 night stay, but you can carry the unused credits from one plan over to the 4th day before you begin using the "new" plan.

Ok, I think I have what you ask for, I know Boma is paid for by tour and afternoon tea is out of pocket, but I kept them in there so don't count them, there are 2 of us on the deluxe dining plan. Thanks for any help.

You do realize your eating breakfast at 830am..probly get done around 930 or so then you have lunch reservations at 1230? You will finish lunch around 145pm then have to be at dinner at 630pm..omg...

I've been doing DxDP for years...this will not work.. You will not leave time to get hungry..trust me!

May I suggest keeping breakfast and using snack credits for lunches and making dinners into signature meals?

Trust me..its no fun going to all these places when your still full from the previous meal..

One day you are eating lunch at noon then dinner at 5pm..keep in mind you get appetizers, drinks, entrees, bread , and dessert at lunch..you won't finish lunch till 130pm then to dinner at 5pm..omg

We do a big breakfast a snack for lunch and a signature dinner nightly...if you don't want a signature dinner do a TS and convert your extra TS credit into 3 snacks and take home ghiardelli full size bars for gifts!

From what you have written, I have counted 45 credits. Even if this were one continuous stay, you would not have enough credits for everything.
Your 2-credit meals are: Cinderella's Royal Table (both the breakfast and the dinner), Hoop De Doo, Spirit of Aloha, and Mickey's Backyard BBQ.

There is only one change needed in your first stay- you have both CRT and HDD as 2 credit meals, which puts you over by one credit. I would maybe pay for BOG breakfast out of pocket and get a cupcake/cup of coffee instead of a full breakfast? That would be less money but still get you in the park early... Or you could give up either LTT or CP lunch. The PP is right- it will be a LOT of food!

The rest of the trip looks fine except for your last 3 days at the Poly. You have both the BBQ and CRT in here that are 2 TS, and you only have one meal to carry over from your AKL stay (which I would use immediately at Tusker House). You would still have 2 meals too many. You could pay Ohana breakfast out of pocket- it is one of the less expensive meals on property. Same for the Plaza lunch. Or, you could cancel Plaza lunch (Tusker House is a pretty formidable buffet!) and maybe one of the other meals? Maybe have a snack instead of Kona Cafe? You could also eliminate one of the meals from your AKL stay (maybe pay OOP for an ice cream at B&C? Or use a snack credit- not sure how that works?) and it would give you an extra one to carry forward to help balance things out.

Remember that you will have 2 snacks per day included as well as the 3 meals- and the TS lunch and dinners come with appetizers and desserts. My family always uses the DDP, and were always get desserts. This is an enormous amount of food each day, even for us, and we love food!

I hope this makes sense to you, and has helped a little bit. We have done the DDP for all of our visits, and it takes a little getting used to with managing the credits. Your receipts will show how many meals/snacks you have left after each transaction. Keep up with that as well, and make sure things are being used appropriately. The concierge desk can help you sort things out if something is not credited correctly, but it is easier to correct it on the spot in the restaurant if you can.

The last 4 days, I don't have CRT, I have 1900 park fare and akurshus. So the way I figure it, I have 1 to many at the beginning and one to few in the middle and one extra at the end. But I still can't figure it out enough to fix it.

I do know this is a lot of food. We are not doing it just for the food, we are doing it for my diet, that may sound funny, but I am on a no carb diet, mostly just protein. I have to eat every three or four hours. So with her ag, eating like an adult but able to pay for her as a kid, and being able to do all the shows we want and all the character meals, it makes sense. I can't imagine most people doing this plan just for the food, because it is a lot, but since I have had cancer, we need to rest a lot, not go back to the room a lot but rest for at least and hour every few hours, I also need to stay on a diet of almost protein, with some veggies, so I will be eating every three or four hours. There is one or two days that are tight, but I can't seem to change them, I keep trying but it does not have any other times for the ressies.

Yep- I read the PF dinner as CRT- sorry about that! So, yes one too many in the beginning and one in the end. Ohana, Beaches and Cream, and Plaza lunch are possible out of pocket- they are some of the least expensive meals to buy, especially if you are just getting an entree. You could change one of those to a QS meal as well and just pay for the entree there, though I think Plaza specifically is one of the best places to eat and have it be inexpensive in MK.

In the beginning, could you switch days for your Trail's End and WCC breakfasts? Then you could pay OOP for Trail's End (as a QS it would be cheaper), and still be fine on the rest of the credits? That is all I can see to fix that part unless you change one of the 2 TS places to 1.

For QS meals, if you purchase some items a la carte, you may be able to use snack credits. I am not sure how that works with snacks that are protein-based, though. It may be worth looking at which items are snack credits and see if you can get enough to eat that way instead of paying OOP. I think Allears has menus that list it? Most of easywdw's menu updates include this as well- you could try and send Josh a FB message and see if he knows offhand of any places that would have snacks that would work for you?

One other thing to note given your dietary restrictions, they will substitute some items on the DDP for the desserts- I believe soup or salad is an option instead if that helps you.

I hope you have a magical trip and enjoy every minute of it!

Ok, I moved hoop Dee doo to the 13th and yak and yeti to the 6th. Does this make it better?

Just looking at some of the days where you're in multiple parks for meals, checking in and out of different resorts, three sit down meals in a day, lots of travel. I think you may be underestimating just how much time you're going to be spending traveling to and from resorts, packing and unpacking, checking and checking out, traveling to and from different parks, traveling to and from meals, waiting to check in to meals, waiting to order, waiting on food, etc. I understand the needing to eat and rest regularly. But if you take a long, hard look at this, you're going to have very little time for actually enjoying the parks.

It fixes the first part- you now have the 9 credits you would use in the first 3 days. I still count 1 meal being carried forward from BWV to Poly, but 11 credits being used in those last 3 days. However, it is down to only 1 extra meal! :)

Okay, I fixed a few more, captain grill at AKV and garden grill moved to all and taken out of last day. Am I right now???

I think I got it, except for poly, we still have one to many, but I can always pay Kona oop, would that be the cheapest? I think we have the extra because we arrive at 5:45 am first day and leave 7 pm last day, so we can use snacks to fill in that day.

It helps balance that extra one from the AKL one, and then yes you are correct- still the one more. I would either pay Kona or Plaza OOP- check Allears.net for menu prices and you can see which one will be better to do OOP. Filling in with snacks on those arrival/departure days would be a good idea. You will have a ton- and they change over like the plans do at each resort. You can certainly roll a few over, but I would keep an eye on these the days you move!

If we end up with extra meals or extra snacks, we always find a military person and pay for them. Thanks for the help. Yes we know about the moving back and forth, but we are pre check in, we back very easy, and we have a rental, so I think it is doable for us. Now if it was anyone else but us in the family we could not do it, but we are simple and easy and move from park to park like this all the time.

My day usually goes like 5 am up, shower dressed, take care of service dog and needs. 6:30 wake up kid, dress and out of hotel by 7:30 to eat, maybe little earlier if it is a longer drive. Park, three fast passes by 12 and any other ride we want. Lunch. A rec option, swimming, archery, horseback riding. Then a rest, dinner and night time shows. Bed around 10. Even at home this is how we work, three 2 mile walks between meals and early up, early bed. I think we can make it. We usually do 6 to 8 rides a day, we are not commando.

Ok, I think I have what you ask for, I know Boma is paid for by tour and afternoon tea is out of pocket, but I kept them in there so don't count them, there are 2 of us on the deluxe dining plan. Thanks for any help.

So let's to the math from your above post, not worrying at this point WHERE or WHEN your meals are scheduled. Also, does anyone know, when you move to another resort do you get a new magic band? This could eliminate numerous problems!!!

WLV, 3 nights, nine credits utilized. Perfect.

BLT, 3 nights, nine entitlements used, not counting tea.

BWV, 2 nights, 6 entitlements. Perfect

AKV, 3 nights, 9 entitlements, not counting Boma. Perfect

Poly, 3 nights, 9 entitlements, perfect

Except for your checkout day breakfast. Now I'll say I agree with everyone, that even if you truly can enjoy three sit down meals, on some days, you seem to be eating in multiple locations/parks in a single day. I'm not sure how the changes you've talked about affect that though. Also YOU know your family!! Maybe they need to sit down 3 times a day and actually have a meal, even if it means only eating 1/2 the meal.

Just remember to use your snack credits before they expire as you can get a lot of treats you can take home with you!! Oh and remember to have room in your luggage for all the reusable mugs you will get!!! I love disney mugs!!!

As for your Poly stay, I would drop the plaza or eat there OOP and everything works out!!

Thank you for your service to our country. My son in law was involved in two explosions in Iraq, ied and car bomb. He had a service dog who helped him immensely! At the MK, go to guest services and ask to participate in the flag lowering ceremony, if you feel comfortable doing that. It's a lovely ceremony!!

You should get a new MB (if you did not decline any) sent to you for each resort stay, but this does not help you separate the credits- all MBs lead back to the same account information. (They are essentially clones of one another.)

Yes, you should also get a new mug for each stay as well! Not sure if you can decline these as it would have your "length of stay" chip in it to get the drinks linked to each resort. Not sure how that is set/if it can be re-set...

I would also recommend (based on my research and what I have been told about my own upcoming split stay) physically checking out of one hotel and stopping by the desk at the new one. This should clear out the past stay and begin the new one on your account. Again, any issues you encounter, just stop by the concierge desk and ask them politely to help you fix them- they are usually good about helping.

Glad you were able to straighten out the reservations and have things pretty well accounted for!

I'll second the sentiment a PP has posted above - the biggest mistake you can make on DxDP is making your ADRs too close together. While it may be normal to plan breakfast at 8:30 and lunch at 12:30, chances are your portions on DxDP will be much larger than you're used to since you'll be getting an app, entree, and dessert with each meal per person. In addition, you're not always seated on time so even though your ADR is 8:30, you may not even get your food until close to 9:30.

We made this exact mistake the first time we did DxDP and ended up cancelling dinners last minute simply because we were not hungry. Fortunately for us, it was before the ADR cancellation fee was implemented so we were able to cancel last minute without penalty. Not the case anymore. We ended up having a few leftover credits too due to the cancellations, so it was a waste for us.

Now when we do DxDP, we will do a TS breakfast and a signature TS dinner. This ensures we use 3 credits per day and allows us to space out our meals well. You also get two snack credits per person per day, so you can use those between meals to hold you over. They aren't lying when they say its a lot of food!
