DxDP and Food and Wine Query

We are heading to the World at the end of Oct for F&W and MNSSHP.

We had a couple dining credits left over on a previous trip and the store in AKL turned the dining credit into 3 snack credits.

With that in mind, I purposefully did not make enough ADR's to use up all of our DxDP credits so that we could use some of our credits for F&W.

In order to use some of the table credits for F&W do I need to do anything special? Is this even possible?

It is unusual for you to be able to transfer TS or CS meals into snack credits- places can do it but generally don't- I wouldn't count on it being able to happen at a Food and Wine booth.

IMHO you got lucky once... don't plan on it again and I would think that your chances at a Food & Wine booth range from slim to none. Most of the cash stands seemed to be staffed by part time "special" events people who often have trouble with the basics... don't expect the complicated. (Don't ge me wrong, I love them and that's my part time "fun money" plan when I retire!)

I didn't realize this wasn't something that wasn't done often. I just wasn't sure how to use them for F&W. Now I'm bummed. With F&W going on, maybe I should cancel the DxDP. Hmmmmmm

The CS locations at the resorts can often trade the CS credits (on DDP) or meal credits (on DxDDP) to the snack credits for use on the spot. Any other location, particularly one that only takes snack credits to begin with, will be unlikely to have the capability or permission to exchange a meal for snacks.

I think by saying on the spot, honeymo78 means in the store/shop at the resort. They do not convert the TS meals to snacks for use anywhere. But are able during a transaction to pick up a meal and use the meal credit for snack items in the store. The resort convenience store is the only place I know of that allow you to that. In fact as others have stated not all of the employees even know that it can be done.

DenLo that is exactly what I mean. They are not able to add snack credits to your account, however at the resort CS (we did this at AKL when I was ill and missed several meals) you will be able to use your meal credit to purchase snacks. There was no actual conversion to snack credits, they still rang it up as meal but my "meal" consisted of several snack items.
