Dinner - Kona
The Pre-Trip plans
and also the reason for the whole trip. Since we ate here the first time, on the 08 all she has talked about was eating here again. Last year she asked to go here for her birthday dinner, didnt happen, I took her and 3 of her friends to the Melting Pot and then she and I went to the Farm Show in Harrisburg the next day. This year she is getting her wish. My choices will be surprise surprise the crab cakes, The shrimp and scallops and the Coconut cream tart.
The birthday girl will probably choice fish, chicken noodle soup and tofutti. Hopefully they can bring it to her in the Kona cone or at least with some of the cotton candy. The Actual
Bread - great we love this bread - she says good, I say awesome
Birthday Girl - got both the adult and kids menus brought to her
APP - Chicken noodle soup - good
ENTREE - Pomegranate Pork chop with fingerling potatoes and Swiss chard - delicious
DESSERT - Kona cone with Toffutti she didnt finish it but was thrilled to order it - good
BEVERAGE - lemonade with Buzz
Me
APP - Crabcake - these look nothing like the ones that I had last time or the ones that I had seen other pictures of on the review board. The taste was ok, there was no pizzazz and the salad or greens on the side was mostly onions.
ENTREE - the shrimp and scallops - I had these last time I was here and really enjoyed them this time they just seemed to be thrown in a bowl on top of rice, there was no sauce - the flavor of everything was good but the presentation was a few steps down from last time.
DESSERT - I ordered the fondue to go - we ate it for breakfast the next day. along with an extra loaf of bread they packed up for us.
BEVERAGE - a virgin raspberry colada.
Check came to $ 78.30
Total that would have been spent had we done this OOP $ 1032.68
