DWTS Chris Brown

And we come full circle. Chris: "well if Charlie can get away with why can't I?"

:sad2:

I was thinking the same thing, Snappy, but I'm still baffled by what Mr. Brown believes Mr. Sheen "got away with." Charlie lost his job, no?

I didn't watch Britney on the show, but I did watch her performance on Youtube. I thought it was terrible, and although she's still young, her days as a superstar are past.

That said, I don't equate the actions of woman who's obviously suffering from something like bi-polar disorder or postpartum depression to those of a grown man taking a temper tantrum.

He sure can dance and yes I did watch him because I watched the show.

However, he just like Britney are auto tuned. He lip synced just like she did.

Britney has gotten herself together, she has made a HUGE comeback and I for one am happy for her.

Chris Brown however, needs a time out. Grow up. You are nota child anymore and your actions have consequences.

His people OK'd the questions about Rihanna. He also could have just said I really don't want to talk about that or I have no comment and end it.

Instead he got a HUGE attitude about it and then had a temper tantrum.

So now instead of focusing on his new album which I am sure is very good, he still looks like a you know what. It is a shame, that he can't grow up and learn how to control his anger. He did admit to throwing things on BET so it wasn't like it was NOT him. He did admit to it, does it make it right no.

Such a shame.

That's what gets me. He had to have known that Robin was going to bring it up. If he didn't want it brought up, couldn't he or his people have requested that it not be brought up?

He basically did throw a temper-tantrum. What he did sounds like what a spoiled little kid would do if they didn't get their own way.

EXACTLY!

GMA asked them if they could discuss that situation now that is is behind him. They said yes. So Chris knew they were going to ask that. If he didn't want any of those types of questions asked all they had to do was say, Chris Brown will NOT be answering any questions about Rihanna or the past situation. Boom that is it. Robin Roberts would have never asked in the first place.

No, I just don't like double standards. No one ever questions Britney about driving her child around in the front seat. Nor did they boycott her appearances.

Just because some celebrities get more backlash than others, it doesn't make ANY of their behavior okay.

I think it is horrifying that these people have money and influence and they use it as an instrument to get away with their bad behavior. There is so much good they could do-and they decide to beat their significant others or throw chairs through windows.

Chris Brown could use his struggle as an example for others-he could talk about his rehab and his work on getting better, and instead he just continues his downward spiral. It is sad and disturbing on so many levels. And, I'm not just talking about Chris Brown. Mel Gibson, Charlie Sheen, Lindsay Lohan, etc.

Also, if you need an example of females that got some serious backlash for their actions, take the Dixie Chicks. I don't want to get into a political debate about what they did, but they did get picketed and boycotted. They even got death threats. So, it isn't just males (or even African American males).

I'm disappointed that they would have him on, especially after the GMA incident. But I'm not boycotting the show. I did not watch his performance, either. I wouldn't have done that even if he wasn't a trainwreck, because I don't care his style of entertainment.

People who boycott the show are ridiculous. CB made a mistake, he apologized for it, suffered through a dark period in his life, and he's trying to make a comeback. Good Lord, leave the guy alone.

Yes, standing up for something you believe in is a terrible way to live your life!! :rolleyes1

I don't have any problems with CB and I don't mean to offend anyone that watches the show but I was under the impression that DWTS had a bunch of celebrities that no longer had real money making careers and I didn't realize CB was at that point :scared1:

He's not a contestant on the show; he was the results show performer. But either way, your assessment is completely inaccurate.

I guess I fast-forwarded through Chris Brown's introduction. How exactly did they introduce him?

Thanks!

My Dd and I watch DWTS together. We didn't watch the show with him on it. While he is an amazingly talented dancer-I don't think I've seen anyone dance like him since MJ-I think he's a scum sucking loser.

What Brittany did-driving her son with him on her lap-in no way, shape or form begin to be as horrible as what Chris Brown did to Rhianna. Did you miss the pictures on TMZ? And it wasn't the first time he beat her. Yes, driving with your child on your lap is bad, very bad. However, Brittany at least has the excuse of mental disease, and had someone step in and basically take over her life, preventing her from making any other stupid mistakes. And I don't think she's done any interviews since all that mess. CB does, and knew what was going to be talked about.

He doesn't deserve fame or fortune. And no man that beats a woman deserves a second chance as far as I'm concerned.

Hes a woman beater, he always will be, people like that do not change IMHO
Someone here on the boards said it best, his album FAME should stand for Failed Anger Management Exam, throwing chairs thru windows, really:eek:!
I did not watch him, I did not boycott the show, I did however send an email to the network saying that I disliked their choice and why I felt that way.
In my mind he has been and always will be a piece of garbage.

^ITA. I don't watch DWTS but if I did I would have boycotted the season. I deleted CB from my girl's playlists after the domestic violence incident. I want my children to know that no amount of talent can replace being a respectable person. Some things are beyond second chances.

I thought it was great. I wonder how many of you watched Britney this morning too. Or did we all forgive her for endangering her child.

I watched Britney because I wanted to see if she still sucked. She does.

As for endangering her child(ren), I was glad they took her children away and gave them to her ex-husband. I wouldn't let her babysit my kids and I wouldn't let Chris Brown date my daughter.

I'd be more scared of CB as he obviously has an issue with his fists and anger.

Oh the tabloids had a BALL criticizing her about that, and if I'm not mistaken, we did, too, here on the Dis when it happened.

Britney, in my opinion is an idiot, publicity-hungry, pathetic, drug and alcohol addicted unfit mother. The reason I can't feel the same intensity of dislike as I do for CB is because she didn't beat the crap out of anyone. Rhianna should have gotten some boys to teach CB a lesson. And the authorities taught BS a lesson by taking her kids away from her custody.

I taped it so I can fast forward through Brown. I don't think talent excuses his behavior.

I agree. However, I'm extremely put off by Rihanna at the moment. "I like whips and chains" from a girl who was physically abused by her boyfriend?

While I totally understand why you'd feel that way, I'd given Mr. Brown a pass if he had tried to demonstrate that he is working to break the cycle of domestic abuse he was subjected to as a youth. However, when asked about it in an interview, he responded by busting a window with a chair and bolting into the streets of Manhattan shirtless. In my eyes, he blew it then.

Well, a little consenting S&M action is a lot different than your boyfriend busting up your face during an argument.

(Disclaimer: Not that I'm into consenting S&M, but I do see a difference. Rhianna comes across as a bit kinky, but that's her prerogative IMO.)

There was nothing wrong with the introduction, except that it was TOO polite! What did people expect, Tom and Brooke to kiss his feet?

"ABC's "Good Morning America" has asked Chris Brown to come back on the show, a day after he flew into a rage after an interview with co-host Robin Roberts and broke a dressing room window.

"We wish him the absolute best and ... we've extended the invitation to him and I sure hope that he takes us up on it, because we'd love to have another chat with him," Roberts said today."

Doesn't sound like he's quite thru those dark ages to me.:confused3

They are trying way to hard to be PC, it's disgusting!

OMG..Snapppy...a voice reason in the PC argument...holy heck the overuse of PC drives me CRAZY. No one is responsible anything. UGH!
