DWTS Chris Brown

Never watched DWTS ever before. Not going to start to see Chris Brown of all people.

People who boycott the show are ridiculous. CB made a mistake, he apologized for it, suffered through a dark period in his life, and he's trying to make a comeback. Good Lord, leave the guy alone.

Dark period? He just smashed a window last week. That's one hell of a long dark period.:sad2:

I didnt watch nor do I care. I didnt watch because I just don't believe in admiring someone who isnt a good role model. Sorry if that sounds archaic , old fashioned or otherwise. But I watch with my kids, and its hard explaining to young teens all about actions and consequences while these "famous" people get lauded and applauded.

The Rhianna incident might have been 2 years ago but the chair and anger explosion wasn't. He knew they were going to ask him about Rhianna and if my kids had acted that way for ANY reason, there would be consequences. They certainly would not be put out to the public for applause. Sorry if CB doesn't like the questions, he was involved with something awful and wants to come back into the graces of people, its part of the price he will pay. Stardom is a tough business and there is bad as well as good in everything.

Maybe if I didn't have kids, Id think differently and certainly I get caught up with the trainwrecks that are celebrities, but I need to make sure my kids don't think its alright. And no, for young teens, the reality of what they see can be just as important as what you teach as a parent.

Last I checked he hasn't hit anyone since Rhianna so not sure where you're getting the anger management didn't help theory.

That we know of.

Like some others, I've never watched DWTS, and I wasn't going to start watching it with CB there. I don't think this boycott was silly.

I taped it so I can fast forward through Brown. I don't think talent excuses his behavior.

ITA! -And no, I didn't watch, however I did google later, to see who was kicked off. I'm pretty disappointed that ABC/DWTS would support someone like him.

I don't have any problems with CB and I don't mean to offend anyone that watches the show but I was under the impression that DWTS had a bunch of celebrities that no longer had real money making careers and I didn't realize CB was at that point :scared1:

I thought it was great. I wonder how many of you watched Britney this morning too. Or did we all forgive her for endangering her child.

Do you just not like pretty females?

I'm starting to believe that you have some sort of complex involving Chris Brown. I'll call it Makus Excuses Chris Brownitus.:charac2:

I don't like how he had a tantrum at GMA, but he does have a valid point. Many entertainers get a pass over their bad behavior, but it seems certain ones get demonized.

Now, I am disgusted by what he did. But he has been punished, both by our legal system and financially.

I could name a long list of people who have actually made money/fame off bad behavior. I would hate to say it may be a racial issue. Chris Brown's situation reminds me so much of Michael Vick.

A perfect example of this happened at GMA just this week. While they quizzed Chris Brown over his issues, they NEVER mentioned anything but wonderful things to Brittney Spears. When has anyone asked her any hard questions over her antics?

That girl is a hot mess. I watched her on GMA and Kimmel. Now, I watched Chris Brown's performance at DTWS and he was incredible! I couldn't tell you one song of his, but he gave a very professional performance. I thought the hosts, especially Tom B. were very disrespectful in their manner while introducing him.

just changed channel when he came on and then went back to the show. why should any of these stars change their behavior as they are awarded for it later when it benifits the producers.. so best for me to just not watch when whomever performs.

What....Didn't they fawn over him sufficiently? Better watch out or their dressing rooms will look like a demolition derby. If I'd been the host, I'd have been tempted to call in sick that night. Chris Brown is a fit-throwing thug and is still in the big, fat middle of his "dark period." I wouldn't spit on him if he was on fire, let alone introduce him to a nationwide audience. At least SOMEONE on DWTS has some standards. :thumbsup2

They've just freed up a lot of time for me, because I have no intention of watching the show for the rest of the season. What's next? Baby-shakers? Animal abusers? Arsonists? Heck, as long as they're FAMOUS, anything goes....right? :rolleyes1

I don't think he has really worked through his issues yet. Last week's tantrum , has shown he is far from over his anger issues.

I turned the show off when he came on, just like I change radio stations when his songs come on.

And no Queen2PrincessG, didn't watch Brit either : ) .

And we come full circle. Chris: "well if Charlie can get away with why can't I?"

:sad2:
