Well, after deciding our children do not need any more toys for Christmas I convinced DH that we will book a Disney vacation. Our oldest is 3 so we will be busy parents! But my 3 year old (he'll be close to 4) has been wanting to go for a while. DH was upset b/c the other 2 won't remember, but I pointed out we will go back again. So this is going to be their Christmas present from us and planned on Santa getting so things for them to take. We will be going in Feb.

I was thinking a kid tough camera, disney swim trunks (will it be warm enough to swim in feb?), hats, new croc sandles, and special flashlights to put back. I was wondering if any other experts had any other things to add to the list?

I am going to have everything planned out so I figured I'd make up a big package for them to open up about the vacation. We will drive so I figured a map to DW, I'll make my own fake tickets, maps of each of the parks, pictures of our hotel, and then the restraunts we will eat at.

Any suggestions would be great- I have only been when I was a lot younger for one day and my DH has never been.

Oh, you will have an amazing time. What a great Christmas present. Maybe Santa could leave some Disney Dollars so he can buy himself something special while in Disney.

We took our oldest for her first trip for her 3rd b-day. She had an amazing time. Our younger 2 DDs visits were when they were 9 months and 10 months old. My only regret in taking young kids is not taking my oldest when she was a baby. The memories of those trips with the younger 2 are priceless. Yes, this trip is for you to make memories with them, bit they will love to see the photos and hear the stories I can promise you that. My DDs (now 9 and 6) love hearing about their first trips. Yes, it is nice that DD14 remembers her first trip, but I still wish I took her sooner.

Have a wonderful trip, it is never too early for Disney!!!!

Thanks! I figure we will have a lot of fun pictures and her temperment is so good that I'm sure she will not pose a problem at all (she will be 7 months old)
Oh disney dollars are a good idea...

Another quick question, are the dinning plans out for 2009 yet? As in which restraunts? I can not find it anywhere...

In answer to your question about swimming in February, the correct honest answer is maybe. When I was a child we went to Florida every other year in February. This actually extends back BEFORE WDW was there. Some years swimming in Feb was wonderful, other years it was too cold. I would definately PACK swimwear for everyone. You can always choose not to use it if you think its too cold.
