I vote for a weekend trip to Tennessee and a week vacation or longer.. to the World next year and a couple days to the beach...

I tend to enjoy mini vacations better than week long ones. I guess I'm a homebody at heart or something but I've noticed I lose steam if I'm on vacation a week or longer so I vote for a mini world vacation both this year and next. By mini vacation I mean spending four nights at the world, that is a great length of time for me.

I tend to drive DW crazy by analyzing the most efficient way to get the most out of our vacation...
Let's see on Monday we do early entry at Animal Kingdom and after they close we do Downtown Disney, and on Tuesday.......

Well, figure out what it would cost to do a long trip, then make several trips out of it! Works for me, anyway!

Seriously, having just returned from WDW, where we spent 10 days, I found that not only me but my DH and children prefer shorter trips. Things start to get old after a long trip. I prefer 2 5-day trips, and this is how we plan to vacation to the World in the future.

The pic was taken on Men In Black in Universal Studios. DH, a sharpshooter, sort of blew us all away with his alien-fighting skills. The rest of us were marginal, at best. Good thing we have him should we ever find the need to shoot aliens.

Snoopy, we are usually only at the World 5 days since it takes a day each way to drive down there....

I mentioned flying...but that adds a lot of extra cost for a mini-vacation.
