http://http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=21077163&postcount=4Oh What a Wonderful Trip we had, This trip was just us and no Children. It was fun to do what we wanted to do and eat where we wanted to eat, without having to figure out what the kids wanted to do or eat.

A Little history about ourselves
DH::mickeyjum 43, will be 44 on October 14th, Charlie had been a bachelor until September 9, 2004, when I walked into his life. We were married April 9, 2005, 6 month's later. He is a very loving, romantic, patient person, who has to put up with a very high maintenance wife and 3 DTeenagers. Little did he know that his world would change so much from his quite bachelor life. On July 2006, We surprises our children with a surprise trip to DisneyWorld, and after that trip he became so obsorded with Walt DisneyWorld. He lives and breathes Disney, he wants to move us to Orlando so he can work there, and our DS19 & 16 can do the college program and our DD13 can be Tinkerbell in the Wishes Show.

DW::daisy: 44, Carolyn; very High Maintenance, very organized, and I like all my "T" to be crossed and "I" to be dotted... Single Mom from 2001 until I walked pass Charlie... and I caught his eye. I had been to Disneyland and World when I was young child, and I had always wanted to return to DW and take my DC, but never thought it would be possible until DH sold his part of the family land in the small town that he grew up in. So that's how the 2006 surprise came about.

This trip is our anniversary trip or our 2nd Honeymoon trip. On our second anniversary I saw Susan our TA, and I decided that I would give Charlie Birnbaums 2007 and Disney American Airlines Travel Package as his gift. Little did I know, but definetly hoped that we would book our second honeymoon trip to Disney and it was booked 3 weeks later. YES!!!

DS19: College Bound, was glad that we went to Disney and not him.

DS16: Sophmore in High School, really wanted to go, but knew this would be our turn and next year we would go again.

DD13: 8th grader, Boys, Boys, and Gymnastics, plus Zac Efron aka Troy from High School Musical... and the Jonas Brothers, Gymnastics and Disney

September 12th finally got here, and DD still thought she was going on the trip. DS16, DD, our two self adopted college kids, and the travelers got to the airport at 4:15am. We said our good byes with a sad thought or 2, but as the kids walked out the front door to go home and back to bed before school starts, we walked through security jumping for joy knowing that we had 7 days in DisneyWorld without kids..:woohoo:

We arrived at DFW in time to run from one terminal to another and grab a quick coffee, newspaper, and a coke at McDonalds for me. I only drink Coke. We load AA by 7:45 and off to Orlando we went. The flight was a whole 2 hours and 5 minutes, which put us on the ground at 11:15am Now to locate Disney Magical Express area.... So glad to know that the lines were short, that gave me hope that the lines would be short in the World. Now to our destination, Disney Boardwalk, our bus was full, but most of the people on our bus were heading to POR, and ASM. The first stop was BoardWalk, YEA and the time was 12:15. Our plan was to check in get our "Key to the World" walk thru Epcot, ride Soarin' and catch the Monorail to MK. But to our excitement our room was ready, so we headed to our room, with no bags except what we carried on the plane, and we changed clothes then off to MK...

DH waiting for me to finish taking pictures

Me sitting with Minnie, plus Roy.. I just love Minnie

Look at the crowds are on Main Street, :lmao: Wednesday at 1:30pm

More to come, Off to see my DS at college...

Chapter 2

You're off to a great start! Looks like fun! We leave in a week and I can't wait!

You and your DH are a great looking couple. Is he very organized too? I am -it's one of my many quirks. I have about 4 or 5 lists going to get myself organized for our trip. I usually start packing about a month out, but this year, I have barely even started it. :confused3 I don't even know why. I'm excited to go but just can't seem to get motivated to pack!

I followed you over! Love the pictures! I can't wait to hear all about your trip! It looks like you picked a good time to go. The pictures appear to have small crowds.

Yes, I make list after list after list, DH doesn't, plus I make plans and then I change my mind and attempt to make other plans (ADR), and then I change my mind again. My DH is so patient with me and he is just whatever you want to do. He's a very laid back kind of guy...which again is really good for me, we balance each other really well.

Okay, The rest of our day. One thing that I forgot to inform everyone of is that Soarin is my favorite ride, so on our way to Magic Kingdom, we detoured through Epcot so Soarin would be the first ride that we rode. But the line was a 40 minute wait and we decided against it because we had never seen the Dream's Come True Parade in MK. So we just detoured on to the monorail and rode it to the TA, and then on to MK.

On this day we wanted to ride rides that we were unable to ride last year. But first things first, our last meal was in the airport at DFW, 7:00am, we were a little hungry.

Running through Adventureland on our way to Aloha Isle, here's Rafiki and Timon.

Here is the last of our Hamburgers at Pecos Bill Cafe, doesn't it look great. It was a really good burger.

Lunch was yummy - So now off to Big Thunder Mountain.

Finally on the ride

Trying to Catch the Castle and DH said "It's over there!!!!!" with his big arm.

After riding BTM we headed to Main Street so we could get a great place to sit and watch the parade, but we found nothing so we ended up sitting in front of the Christmas Store on the ground in the shade and it was great.

Pictures of the Parade.

The Big Cheese...

Lots more parade pictures to come. Time to get kids to bed.:hippie:

Here's some more pictures of the parade...
I really enjoyed it, It gave me those goose bumps really big...

My favorite BELLE!!!!

Isn't she Beautiful!!!!

Minnie, Isn't she cute.

The end of the parade...

After the parade we went over to Fantasyland, to ride Peter Pan's Flight. That was so cool because we had flown that day and again you felt like you were flying again, except over London... This was a good ride.

Then we Saw Mickey's Philharmagic, I also love this show, It's the best, the music is fabulous...
After playing in Fantasyland, We adventured back over to Adventureland to ride Splash Mountain, it was a really hot and humid day and we needed some cooling off...

Adventureland, Where are all the people.:lmao:

Then we rode the Jungle Cruise. Another one of my favorite things are Giraffes, I have them all over my house...not real ones, but pretty ones...so I had to take a picture of them.
Jungle Cruise Pictures...Giraffe's

Our Travel guide and some guy's hat...

As we got off the Jungle Cruise it had started raining. We hadn't been over to Tomorrowland, so we headed over to there, and rode the left side of Space Mountain, with no wait got off and then turned around and walked back on and rode the right side... That was really cool. It started raining really hard for a little bit but the bad thing was that our tennis shoes got soaked, and that was yucky! So we decided around 7:00ish that we would call it a day. We were a little on the tired side anyways, so we caught the Monorail back to the TA center and then another Monorail back to Epcot and walked back through Epcot and onto the BoardWalk, Home. We ate at Big River Grille & Brewing Works, it was really good. After dinner we headed up to our to see if our lugguge had made it and YEA it had.:woohoo: But the biggest surprise was a Dozen Red Roses from my Prince...:goodvibes The Roses were in a Beauty and the Beast Vase...The were so beautiful.

P1000137.jpg

He did soooooo good...
That's the end of Day 1
It was a really long day, but was so wonderful to be back in the Worlds again..
TexasBelle

Day 2 began early in hopes that we could catch the opening of Animal Kingdom. We hurried to the bus stop, which wasn't a bad wait, about 10 minutes, and than off we went, but we didn't know that the bus stopped at the Swan and Dolphin, and well guess what! We got to AK at 9:02. We missed the park opening. A little history about Animal Kingdom, on the surprise trip last year we only spent 3 hours in this park, so we're looking forward to seeing lots of animals and riding the rides. We started in Camp Mickey and Minnie. The funniest thing that happened in Camp M&M: as I was walking out of the bathroom, at the same time out walked Goofy from the Cast Members door right next the bathroom door and He caught eye of me, he grabbed my hand and off we went dancing and skipping, he twirled me around and we did a little two step, it was lots of fun... He made me laugh so much. The photo pass people took lots of pictures. (I still need to buy my disk)

After pictures we caught "The Festival of the Lion King" Oh my gosh, that was fabulous!!!!! I loved it... I can't believe that we didn't see that last year. DD13 would have loved it. DD is a dancer and a gymnastic, and I know that she would have loved the tumble monkeys and the flying bird... That just look my breath away, and brought tears to my eyes..

My pictures aren't that great, It's a new camara and I didn't know how to use the shutter speeds on it yet..

Wow, my day seems to be so crazy. Seems like I never have time to continue my post. I feel really guilty being on the computer when my DS & DD aren't allowed on it when it's a school night. DD loves to give me hard time that that all I do is read Disboard.

Day 2 continued, On to Finding Nemo, a few great pictures on the way. Finding Nemo was cute and you really did feel like you're in the water. We enjoyed the show but it was hard to hear because we had this sweet 2 year old behind us. She was sitting with her Daddy and her Mommy was off riding some rides while they saw the show and she (the 2 year old) didn't like that her Mommy wasn't there so she cried through most of the show. I felt really sorry for her.

A few pictures to look at.

P1000092.jpg

During the show you can not take any pictures with a flash, and I haven't learned how to use my new camara without a flash so I didn't get any pictures of the show.

On to DinoLand, to ride Chester & Hester Primeval Whirl. DH doesn't like anything that spins, so I rode it by myself. By the way, no wait...

Here's some really great pictures of the Parade... We sat over at the exit to "It's a Bug Life" in the shade. I will agree with everyone of Disboards. Animal Kingdom is the hottest park.. There is just no breeze in this park at all.

We had so much fun in Animal Kingdom... I just loved it. We had a great lunch at Flame Tree Barbecue: I had the beef and DH had the pork sandwiches, and they were both really great. There was so much to do and we didn't even get to Rafiki's Planet Watch, the train ride to RPW or Maharajah Jungle Trek. Hopefully we can figure out a time before we leave to get back over to AK and do the things that we didn't get to finish.

I hope your enjoying our trip, there is more to day 2, plus lots of pictures.

Wow What a great day we had at Animal Kingdom... I hope you enjoyed the pictures. After leaving AK around 5:00 we headed back to BW. We needed a little R&R. As we arrived in our room Mousekeeping had left us a wonderful surprise new towel animals, they were so cute. Mousekeeping thought that they needed to sit around my beautiful flowers.

Goodbye to Day 2
TexasBelle

Friday Morning, 3rd Day, Boy are we tired...Why is it always the 3rd day you just can't go anymore. We got up early as usual, and DH went down to the BoardWalk for Coffee and a Coke for me...Yes, I needed one. DH is the coffee drinker and I only drink coke expecially at 8:00 in the morning, preferably in a can, but will drink a fountain coke, no bottles. Our plan for the day was to spend it in Epcot riding Soarin several times, then touring Future World, then after 11:00 touring the rest of the World Showcase. Yesterday, American Pavillion was as far as we were able to go and we started at Mexico, so we still had the rest of the Worlds to go. We hoped to finish Epcot by 3:00ish, so we could have a nap before MNSSHP that night.

Here are some pictures of our resort again before we left for Epcot. It was really early.

First things First we rode the Monorail over to MK and We got to ride in the Front... This was really cool. :cool2: Although, I wish DH would have had his eye's open, then it would have been a really great picture.

Our food, this was wonderful...We plan on eatting here everytime we go back..

P1000233.jpg

P1000234.jpg

P1000237.jpg

While we were eatting, the rain started...and it didn't stop for over an hour. We couldn't stay in LTT, so we ran in the rain to the Christmas Store and we were soaked, so we decided that we had better buy poncho's.

When we got to the park around 6:30 we walked around main street looking at all the great decorations. Then we decided that we would go ahead and eat, since our ADR was at 7:25 and then after we ate we would ride HM, ince it had just reopened today. That was a really bad idea, because after dinner it rained forever. We didn't get to ride any rides we just wondered from store to store trying to stay out of the rain. By this time I was so cold and the poncho's didn't keep us very dry. So we decided that we would just head back to the resort. We had heard that they cancelled the first parade and we weren't sure if Hallowishes would go off. Later while we were at the resort we heard the fireworks around 10:30 and someone told us that they were able to run the last parade after wishes. I'm really sad that we didn't stay to see HalloWishes. But we were so cold, wet and tired. Tomorrow we plan on sleeping in. LOL:lmao: We have yet to sleep in because we just can't wait to do what we have planned that day.
Day 3 is over, and we missed MNSSHP because of the weather. BOOOOOO
TexasBelle

Wow! You're posting your report quicker than I can read it! So sorry about missing the party. I want to stay at Boardwalk sometime. You're doing great!

Thanks for reading my trip, it's been so much fun to do the trip report because you remember all the fun things that you did. I know your trip is going to be sooo much fun. How many more days? I was able to post alot tonight because the DS & DD went to church. So that helped. I don't know how you have so much time to post, It's so hard for me to find time to be online. I'm enjoying your post, can't wait to hear about your trip. :yay:

I get on here at night after the kids are asleep. My DH works nights so this is my time. I do a quick check in the am before school. I usually only post/ read a handful of reports. I'm not on the other boards much. I haven't wanted to eat at LTT because I read that they serve Stouffer's food, but you made me want to go!

I wish I could stay up late, but I just can't do it. I usually feel it either the next morning or that afternoon, and then I just need a nap. Dh gets on Disboards all the time, and he reads it to me and lets me know all the good information that we find out but it's just usually so hard for me to get on. I'm so glad that your going to give LTT a try because I just loved it and I know that your kids will too... It's that good ole food that you just really like. It didn't bother me that it was stouffer's food but I didn't eat the Mac & Cheese. When I cook I don't use Stouffer's Food, I just make it from scratch, so I don't think I have ever had Stouffer's Stuffing, it tasted great. Again we really enjoy LTT it was one of our favorite places to eat and we plan on eatting there next year.

We have already set the dates for our trip next year, October 3 through October 11. My BF and her DH, have a 4 year old DS, his birthday is this coming Saturday October 6th, and BF and DS have never been, so we are all going together... It's going to be so much fun to see the World for the first time with BF's DS... plus it will be on his birthday also. :grouphug: We're going to stay at the BeachClub... DS16 & DD13 will be also going so I'm trying to figure out how to get them out of school for a whole week, plus the 3rd is a Friday. We are going to do MNSSHP that night. It will be hard to get them out of school, because DS will be a Junior and DD will be a Freshman. So, I hope that it won't effect there grades and class work. I've got lots of time to figure all this out, I'm just excited that we have set the date for our next trip to the world...:woohoo:

Have a great Day!!:hippie:

Hi! GREAT TR! Loving all the pics! Miss Monica brought me over, and I am glad she did. Can't wait to hear more.:cool1:
