My DW Shirley keeps finding all kinds of amimals. I say cows (generic), because I have never slid under the chassis of a 'cow' to check it out. The South Dakota Wild Mustangs were a rare catch. Bad Shirley, NO FEEDING.
A cow, billy goat (straight horns ???), mustang Pictures.
Hold on a major change has changed this scenario----Yahoooo! ! !Picture #4 After 4000+ miles, north of the Flaming Gorge Utah, 'in dim light, we got it right'. We are MUSTANGERS

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my.

Great pictures looks like you are having a wonderful trip. :thumbsup2

dang, Shirley has got more brave in her than do I, feed'n them wild mustangs like that.
My neighbor has two minature mustangs that look exactly like the ones Shirley is feeding :lmao: (they aren't much bigger than our dog)

Fishing,,are ya catching any of your suppers ??

:cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

Frank. We will get to catch supper pretty soon. Right now, just overwhelmed with the scenery.

To quote my Family Doctor " there are only 2 actions in life. GOD and the Big Bang. Everything else is a reaction.

I believe Darwin got it wrong ! !

Brother Frank, my Doctor is spot on. Somebody or Some Power had to give it a kick-start to what Shirley and I are seeing.

Boy did I miss that one ! ! ! DW Shirley also caught the XXX Buffalo Pic.

That leads to a question from my self ; SELF, how come all the Ladies are catching my Boo-Boo ??????

DW has the answer concerning me. Shirley says "DH John, you are not too slow and you are not too fast, YOU ARE HALF FAST ! ! ! !

I think I heard half fast right or something akin to it.

Another one of those acts of nature! :thumbsup2

I can only assume that is Yellowstone....?

:):)
The pictures of the Buffalo, Pronghorn Antelope and the Burros were taken in Custer State Park, South Dakota. The park is midway between Mt Rushmore and the CrazyHorse Monuments.

We spent the better part of 2 days touring the park. One word,

MAGNIFICENT ! ! !

I didn't realize they had buffalo as I've never been there. Another reason to find my way over there! :thumbsup2

Love Custer State Park. It is just far enough from the busy towns and yet, a short drive to them. Did you drive through the tunnels?

we knew exactly how high we were and people were paranoid when we went in. but, we had a few inches of clearance. lol

We LUV Custer.

We got real lucky. I met a Park Ranger. We had a commonality. He is involved in Youth Athletics (Basketball) and I am a former HS Girls Basketball Coach.

We were leaning up against the fenders of our trucks. The Ranger said "follow me Coach". I have never seen wildlife and scenery like that before. Let's call it----A Disney Castmember Backstage Tour. WOW ! ! !

The tunnels. There was one I had to pull my extended mirrors in.

that is awesome--see it pays to play "ask your neighbor".. lol

we had a similar experience in virginia at the navy base. the bus left just before we got in the parking lot. one of the navy officers felt bad because we couldn't wait for the next one. so, he hopped in the truck and took us in for our tour.

he said we had an advantage-we could stop and get out to take pics (before 9-11)--the bus just slows down.

glad you had a great time.

Just a footnote: A picture and comments have been added to the start of this thread.

I was going to start with "I have regrets"---Can that one John Boy.

I am groping for words, but let's start. Somebody has given this beat up old Bod another shot.

Leaving Rock Springs WY and driving a big U, DW and I lived (not saw) the Flaming Gorge. Down RT 530, barren, desolate, awesome. Lots of signs 'Jurasic'. Sixty some miles into the U and the Dam. More awesome. Turning up into the U and going back, GREEN.

Looking and living back and forth, barren / green. The gorge was the divider. Barren / Green. WHY ??????

We were living a Chocolate Nut Sundae with Lots of Whipped Cream and the Cherry on top were the Wild Horses. The MUSTANGS.

Everyone should be issued a free ticket for this Sundae.

Somebody. Thanks for giving us this shot.

Way cool John !
Sooo, did you use any of your casting skills to try and lasso any of them mustangs ?

there, ya happy?
