Frank, Denise & all Board Peeeeeeples.

After the Flaming Gorge experience and then you hit the jackpot (the horses), you are in a special moment. Actually we got about 8 minutes worth.

My brother told me about his encounters with the Mustangs 40 years ago. He was spot on. "You think they are spooky. NO. Get a little to close, they vanish. Give them space and enjoy the show". In that dim light, I heard those words.

Quietly grazing one got to close to another. Both up on hind legs, front feet flailing, just hitting thin air. Back to grazing. One bolts. Two stay, but most follow the runner. They come back to their grazing area. There were 15 different acts in that 8 minutes and the admission was free.

Ya jest can't beat that.

the flaming gorge is awesome in a totally different way than yellowstone. the last trip with the truck camper we headed down there and i want to go back. did you camp there?

we came in from the north and saw the horses on the way in. i have pics of them being right by our truck. i was afraid that duke (our bossy dog) was gonna make one mad by barking so much. worried they would kick the truck. but did get some great pics.

we camping above the gorge. beautiful sunrise and sunsets. no one was up there, everyone was camping down by the water.

one camp location we were gonna go to was closed. they were watching for fire-a lightening strike happened near by.

glad the horses gave you a show. sounds like a great trip! but we do need more pics. :)

Your asking Captain Video for more pictures. First, we did not camp in the Gorge. Given the chance, a definite YES. Pictures next. Going down the big U from Rock Springs WY and back.
PLAINS Pronghorns in the barren / desolate. Painted Hils in the barrens. Top of the World (turning the big U). The contradiction split between barren & green, the Flaming Gorge. WOODS animal the Mule Deer. They are green not barren / desolate living things.

Wow,,,,,,
Is that bridge huge? Did you drive on it?

You Have to scroll right---Yes Denise, we drove over, well really on top of that bridge. OH NO, now more Pics. For 3 Pics, scroll right and then scroll back and down for 4th. We drove on top (not over) the Flaming Gorge Dam. Really cool. DW, Fossil Hunter 'Indiana Shirley' archeolsomething. DW chopping away (I could be fishin'). Yikes Frank ; a 50 + million year old well done fish and she hooked 7 more. Good Job, Indiana (aka) PA Shirley.

did you guys stop at dinosaur? she would of loved it. it is a national park/monument and kind of out in the middle of no where. but really worth stopping. you can see all kinds of fossils still in the ground and what has been dug up.
