hi I've been reading my car hire doc. I remember a while back reading that the dvla code is not needed for Alamo in Orlando int. Is this the case? Will I just need my driving licence and a credit card?
Thanks
I had it but didn't need it, I used a kiosk thing and was never asked for it. Pre book, Pre checking all on the internet then avoid the long line by using the car hire kiosk to get your agreement.
I didn't have one, just had my credit card and driving licence, took my counterpart as well but they didn't even look at it and there were no issues with Alamo, a great company and have used them twice
Don't know anyone who has been asked for it in Florida. I have rented 2 cars since it was brought in, I had the codes ready but neither asked for them.
It was really busy and the line was very long so people had stacked their cases and bags and where sitting down in front of them. They are located behind (as you walk towards the Alamo desk) a pillar in front of the main Alamo rental desk, two of them I think, I had to lean over people and bags to get to it. Took about 5-7 mins to input all the info and it printed a large till type roll of information. We went to the car park the attendant checked the paperwork and as normal pointed to a row of cars and told us "anyone of them".
